Just got off the phone with Mister John, advocate of all things good and nice culturally and he was raving about the Mighty.
Now I haven't seen it myself, nor heard of it, but a rave is a rave and it sounds like Tomasi and Champagne have themselves something special. The plot is apparently a real slow burn, the premise similar to Mark Waid's Irredeemable, but this is more of a murder mystery/conspiracy thriller. I'm intrigued.

Reading and enjoying. ^^ I tried to guess to Keith last weekend what Alpha-One's plan is but he didn't even flinch at any of my suggestions. Well met!

One of the best books DC has put out in a good long while.
It differs from Irredeemable in that spoilers:
And yes, it is real slow burn. You find out the spoilers above very slowly. The main protagonist is not Alpha One, but the guy in charge of his relief organisation/private police force. We follow him and his wife as he slowly finds out just what he has been a part of for most of his life. |

I gave it 3 issues..... Once Snejbjerg left, I dropped it. The writing, to me, felt too watered down.
