A lot eventually happened in this arc which was a bonus treat as portrayed by Jeff Parker and Holtz. This was a story about two people, The Controller and Parker Robbins. The Controller came fresh from the pages of Invincible Iron Man, in Texas, straight into the Hoods gang
spoilers:
So this arc re-establishes that Hood is now more irrevokably linked to Dormammu than ever, and after an upcoming story, where Hood gets beaten, and another where Brother Voodoo goes after Dormammu to shut his doorway to earth, it will come tumbling down and end in tears. A very good arc by Jeff Parker.

I'm pretty sure this story takes place before the search for the sorcerer supreme arc because in this he tries getting rid of Dormammu's pressence by not wearing the cloak which didn't work............Hellstrom and Vodoo exorcised Dormammu completely from him as evidenced by the preview pages for Doctor Vodoo # 1 http://comicbookresources.com/prev_i...?pid=3511&pg=3 |

Okay. I'll place the New Avengers Sorceror Supreme arc accordingly, after this arc.

It was quite a pretty good mini overall. I loved the way Jef Parker handled the Hood's torn life and the focus on his family life, not to mention having the artist who created the character getting another shot at him.
The ending really puts the Sorcerer Supreme arc on New Avengers under a whole new light for me, and makes Bendis use of the character make sense for once. Yet I wonder if what he's doing isn't for money or his family anymore, what's the motivation he's got left for him to search for another source of power now that he finally got rid of Dormammu? Hopefully it will be addressed in the future.

This mini series ended on a more slightly rushed note than I would have liked but otherwise this fits in quite nicely with the post Secret Invasion/pre New Avengers Sorcerer Supreme arc.
I thought White Fang getting close to Force seemed a little forced (no pun intended) in order to make her care for someone else but I'll be interested to see where that goes if that does get followed up somewhere. I can almost guarantee that Bendis won't be touching Parker's family aspects again though since he seems mostly content with playing with the Hood but I hope Brian wraps that up nicely so that we won't see Hood for a while. I really liked Dormammu's role throughout the book and it makes his influence on Hood's life a lot clearer. Plus is was great to see Hood all demonic again with the flame cloak and stuff, that always makes for a good visual. Very good mini series, definitely worth picking up if you want a more in depth look at the Hood. 8/10

I really enjoyed this series, it tied up all the left over elements from the original series, as well as exploring The Hoods current status within Dark Reign. It does help to put alot of his other apperances in context. I wouldn't mind seeing another Hood mini/one-shot exploring between the first series to when he turned up in NA. Just to explain where the money came from and how he got inspired to turn all Stringer Bell.
Am I right in thinking I saw something on here about The Hood joining the Thunderbolts while Parkers writing them?
