We know that Geoff will be staying on Green Lantern, and will be launching the Flash in March, but his other books: Blackest Night, Superman Secret Origin & Adventure Comics are all coming to an end early 2010.
What do we think he will take on in the new year? He has already stated that he has projects lined up with Gary Frank and Ivan Reiss after Secret Origin and Blackest Night repectively. I beliee that Rags Morales and maybe Shane Davis have also mentioned upcoming projects with him. Of course there is the often rumoured JLA with Jim, and Geoff did mention in Geoff Johns Prime about a Shazam! related project. What do we think he will be up to/what rumours are out there? Not Rags, no. Rags is doing the 50s noir character book with Azz (previously called First Wave, not really sure what it's called now).
He's mentioned that he is going to do something Captain Marvel related. I suspect that is going to be his Reis book. No idea what he is going to do with Frank though. And Davis really wanted to do Aquaman, so if he IS working with him (and I haven't heard anything about that in so long I am not sure that he is), it will probably be an Aquaman relaunch, which is supposed to be coming out of Blackest Night anyway. I suspect Pete Tomasi is going to be on the Hawks, with his removal from Outsiders. |

I am really wondering this myself. I hope one of them is the JLA project. I'm not big on Aquaman or Shazam, but I read Busiek's Aquaman for the writer, so obviously I would check out a Johns Aquaman book for the same reason. As some here probably know (Don C) I am partial to anything Geoff writes, and even when he starts off slow on a project (Flash Rebirth), he always delivers in the end, and GL is just about as perfect as any comic run could ever be.

I think his Shazam project is actually JLA with Captain Marvel as a member of the team. Johns is also supposed to write Black Manta next year, so I think he'll be the first villain.

Justice League probably with Ivan Reis.
Otherwise he probably has a full plate with GL and Flash. |

The new Flash ongoing an maybe that rumoured JLA book with Jim Lee.
I believe he has a huge HANK HENSHAW and his robotic MANHUNTERS arc planned.and they attack earth after Blackest night. Put the GL's under pressure. Don't let up Geoff.

He should go back to Teen Titans or Aquaman. They need it more.

You heard wrong. Johns is only one level above Jeph Loeb and one below Mark Millar in the trinity of popcorn writers.
Brian Bendis despite his flaws is up there with Grant Morrison and Warren Ellis. |

Brian Bendis is only good on his own very personal stuff. Daredevil, Powers, Alias/Pulse...
His Avengers is miserable and superficial. He's had a couple of issues that were okay, a couple that were good, but most of it has just been uninspired and a HUGE disappointment after the work he previously did. It bums me out that Morrison (who is amazing) seems to be getting control of all the properties I don't care about (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman) and Geoff Johns seems to be getting control of all the properties I DO care about (Green Lantern, Flash, JLA). I like Geoff well enough, but I'd really like to see someone else do something with Green Lantern, at least. |

Johns obviously can't do as much as Bendis can. And I doubt he'll take over Grant Morrison on Batman, I wouldn't want him to anyway. He doesn't get Batman.

Quality wise.
Johns is in another league than Bendis. Sorry it's true. Every Bendis character sounds the same.

That's a matter of opinion. Johns- He's done a lot for DC, but not as much as Bendis has for Marvel.
