Default Looking to buy some Bags/Boards...

So yeah, I am looking to sink some money into some much needed bags and boards.

The only question is, should I get Modern, or Silver age?

I have a couple of modern bags from when I bought some back issues, and I like them, I am just worried that because they are so tight against the book, the have a better tendency to bend.

On the other hand, Silver age bags are a bit big, and can cause some slide-age.

So, I dunno. What are all of your opinions on the subject?

Thanks,

-Deman.

Modern bags are made for modern books. I've used several brands over the past 18 years, and I haven't noticed any unusual bending (at least, none that wasn't caused by my own incompetence).

If you're really worried, you can simply use the bags without boards, which gives a bit more wiggle room.

like michael said, some of the bending can come from the use of the backing board as well. so, if you don't mind a bagged comic without one...

I guess it depends what the best deal you can get them for. it doesn't matter if silver bags are bigger, they can just be bent, folded back and then taped off at the correct size. but I assume they are more costly as well.
