Default The Big Bang Theory -- Season Three

First off, I'm really a bit surprised that a comic book forum still doesn't have an open thread about a TV Show that glorifies comic book reading. LOL

IMO, it started off really well with the beards and everything. But the entire episode seemed rushed - with Penny and Leonard's relationship AND Sheldon suddenly forgiving them.

Although to be fair, Penny and Leonard NEED this character development.

I loved a lot of the parts though - "Daddy's back" "Toy Story?" "I missed Comic Con and the new Star Trek movie?!"

It's actually Season 3.

Anyways, yes I do love this show. The will-they or won't-they thing between characters gets tiresome on many shows. I'm waiting to see if it is going to be a mistake or not on this show.

I do think Sheldon forgiving them, and things beginning to get back to normal, is rather par for the course on this show. There are a lot of things they just don't stick with or drag out too long. They can change gears pretty abruptly.

still, a very funny episode.

I did like the interaction between Sheldon and his religious mother when they were in Texas (also enjoyed the joke of the electron that set up the scene was designed after the Texan flag).

It was a pretty good episode. Not a perfect one, but they didn't drag that "will they or won't they" stuff as long as other shows.

I wish they'd bring back Leonard's redhead girlfriend Stephanie, she was a lot of fun and certainly added to the cast in a good way. Leslie and Stephanie discussing Leonard while analysing both Penny and Leslie to help Leonard figure out why he can't make relationships work could be comedy gold.

Love this show, and this episode made it no different.

The only complaint I have is how abruptly it ends. This one wasn't so bad, but sometimes it's just like...that's it?

To be fair it's better off that way, the casual audience would get geek burnout and the writers would probably stretch their material thin if the show was an hour long at any one time.

It's not that I have a problem with the half-hour length, it's just sometimes they feel the need to get that last joke in and it just feels unnecessary or I want to see more of that scene. Then it ends.

Dude, the same guys behind Dharma & Greg, 8 Simple Rules, Two And Half Men and Married with Children back TBBT, their punchline parade formula is pretty much the same on all of their shows, 4 jokes a minute or your money back. I can't see them changing a formula that's worked for 20 years or so.

^^ I think a mod would have to change the title now that there are responses.

My TV feed actually crashed in the middle of the premiere episode. But I loved this episode, and am glad I got used to Sheldon well before now.

I really like that they didn't cut the Penny/Leonard pairing short again when he had to go to Texas.

I hate it when they put the show in the same time slot as HEROES. I hope it goes back to the original time slot.

Funny episode last night. Nice to see Raj get some focus. We even saw HIS apartment for a change.

Best moment had to be Raj and Sheldon staring at the white board, not moving, as "Eye of the Tiger" played with quick paced editing. Seriously funny.
