Default My face (mis)adventure!

So I decided to go check out a little bump on my face two days ago, and fortunately it was nothing serious. However it was an infectious thing that needed to be removed right there, which hurt like friggin hell. The nurse used words like gouge, deep and cavity. I didnt look at it though so I've no idea what's going on under the dressing. It required a second bout of removal yesterday which hurt even more (somehow) and now I'm stuck with a bandage-face for the next couple of days, and the worst tasting antibiotic in existence. A horrible white colour, one you know instinctively will taste awful. And my housemates, the helpful bastards, pointed out how it looked like a jar of semen, which I can't unsee, damnit. And I wasted like two days on this, waiting around for nurses, trying to find a hospital to deliver a wound swab (sounds more exciting than it is) and being in a cranky unable-to-study mood. So that was my big exciting week, and apparently it'll be sorer today as the hideous antibiotic kicks in, so wish me luck on my painful, cranky day!

Thanks, it's been pissing me off all day and now it's decided it wants to be itchy aswell. I usually try not to ruin myself so early into the college year.

I think I had that antibiotic once. Tasted like a chemical spill on my tongue.

Since then, I am always grateful when the antibiotics come in little capsules to be swallowed hole.

Hope it passes quickly.

Glad you got it sorted out early. A colleague had to be bullied into seeking help for a lump on his cheek, by which time it was a golf-ball sized cyst & he ended up in surgery at the local max-fac clinic. He'd had a pretty bad year health-wise, so I think he didn't want to face the chance that it might've been a more serious condition.

Hope you feel better soon.

Look on the brightside hon. Tearing off that bandage will seem like NOTHING after the tape incedent.
