The Voter Values Summit: All Pronography is Homosexual Pornography

I was unfortunately too busy destroying Christian marriages, creating a communist police state, and sitting in on death panels to attend the Voters Values Summit. But thankfully some intrepid voter managed to capture this gem on video, from Michael Schwartz, chief of staff for Sen. Tom Coburn.

I'm going to transcribe his full speech (minus opening remarks) so no one can accuse me of taking things out of context.

If you don't have love for your wife, its not a very complete life. And yet we don't want to talk about it. And we especially fail to talk about it to our sons, and to their friends. And they're the ones who need to hear it the most, because they're the ones who are still making up their minds about, 'what do I want to be when the times comes,' and believe me the temptations are out there. One of the temptations is pornography. Pornography is a blight, is a disaster. It is one of those silent diseases in our society that we haven't been able to overcome very well.

I may be getting politically incorrect here, but its been a few years since I was closely associated with pre-adolescent boys. Boys who are like ten to twelve years of age. But it is my observation that boys at that age have less tolerance for homosexaulity than any other class of people. They speak badly about homosexuals. And that's because they don't want to be that way. They don't want to fall into it. And that's a good instinct. After all homosexuality, we know, studies have been done by the National Institute for Health to try to prove that it's genetic, and all those studies have prove it's not genetic, homosexuality is inflicted on people.

I had a very good friend who was in the homosexual lifestyle for a long time, and he had a religious conversion. And he bought an old hotel and turned it into a hospice for his former associates who were dying of AIDS. And he helped almost 300 that died. But he knew he wasn't as healed as he thought he was. He was able to resist temptation, he was able to resist sin. But he wasn't healed enough to take on the responsibilities of marriage. He was a brilliant man in the sense that he knew himself, he knew his limits. He and I had a good converstation about the malady he had suffered. And one of the things that he said to me, that I think is an astonishingly insightful remark. He said, “all pornography is homosexual pornography because all pornography turns your sexual drive inwards. Now think about that. And if you, if you tell an 11-year-old boy about that, do you think he’s going to want to go out and get a copy of Playboy? I’m pretty sure he’ll lose interest. That’s the last thing he wants.” You know, that’s a, that’s a good comment. It’s a good point and it’s a good thing to teach young people.

His name is Jim Johnson, he's a good friend of mine, he ran an organization called 'Beyond rejection.' And I consider him one of the most heroic men I've ever met. But all pornography is homosexual pornography because all pornography turns your sexual drive inwards. And that in fact is what it does. I know couples now who are struggling with the husband’s addiction to pornography. It’s a terrible thing, and that is what happened to him. You know, if it doesn’t turn you homosexual, it at least renders you less capable of loving your wife. And that's something you need to be healed from.

There's just so much that is wrong about this.

How, exactly, would Debbie Does Dallas turn anyone gay? How would playboy turn an 11-year-old boy gay? Which is directly stated.

I love the fact that they are still parroting the genetic cause of same sex attraction theory, even though it semi-disagrees with them. I suppose when you are on a sinking ship you have to hold onto anything.

And what parent would let their pre-adolescent boy be "closely associated" with a Republican politician? Do they not watch the news?

There's just so much that is wrong about this.

Wow, that's amazing, a guy in a building full of people with AIDS was able to resist having sex with them. What a hero. He should be put on a stamp.
