Default Agent Orange, Black Lanterns and the R.E.B.E.L.S.

Due to the war with Starro, the Vega System was closed off to the rest of the galaxy by Vril Dox II of the R.E.B.E.L.S. Currently, Agent Orange is based on Okaara, a planet within the Vega System, and is under attack by Black Lanterns. With the other Light Corps trapped outside the system, could Larfleeze's only help against them come from the R.E.B.E.L.S. and the Omega Men?

The "Blackest Night" tie-ins for R.E.B.E.L.S. could be pretty significant in this regard.

Would be cool but I doubt they would pay that much attention to detail.

Yeah, I second this emotion, but I think it would RULE if they did, as I'm loving both the "GL-verse" and "REBELS-verse" right now (but see little coordination between them).

For some reason, I don't think there's a lot of interaction between Johns and Bedard or the editors of their books.

Just a feeling.

On a side note, I remember when Armageddon 2001 was starting just as War Of The Gods was wrapping up and I remember thinking that it'd be interesting to see a book that was a tie-in to both series.

Get a load of that. Didn't foresee that coming, but it is pretty damn cool.

The REBELS tie in has yet to happen, so I assume the current issues are set before Blackest Night, so there shouldn't be a need for co-ordination yet.

Who said Larfleeze needs help? He will probably withdraw from Odym to battle the Black Lanterns which will allow the Blue Lanterns to keep their battery and join with the Green, or maybe Indigo.

I have no idea what any of that means. That's 99.9% of the reason I don't want R.E.B.E.L.S. to cross over with "Blackest Night."

I could definitely see how that would be a downer. Still, for those of us following both, it's pretty much exponentially awesome.

What's the other 0.01%?

I presume it's not "holy poop, people are gonna buy this comic and give the title either a little extra life or a more permanent boost in sales going forward"?

Like yourself, creatively, I think REBELS does not need any other book to tell engaging, fun stories.

But REBELS needs Blackest night if it is to survive long enough to even make it into it's second year.

I LOVE Rebels, Can't get enough of it,. But I want TONY to be able to tell his story without the same thing happening to rebels that happened to captain britain. Fans loved it, it launch out of a successful crossover but could not sustain its readership.

Rebels is looking good for the future. We get two 40 pages BN tie ins and a 64 page annual soon as well, Fleshing out the villain starro.

I want all titles to crossover Blackest Night. I miss the 90's and the "event annuals" it spawned where even obscure titles have a crossover.

Plus isn't Starro going to be at the focus of 2010's DCU event?

REBELS' sales are pretty weak, but it seems Didio wants it to live and editorial can make that happen. But if REBELS is going to play a role, these BN tie-ins could/should help it live longer and become more notable (finally) to more mainstream readers.
