Invisible Woman vs Wiccan
As soon as the teams touch down, Invisible Woman creates 3 small invisible air tight bubbles. One around Wiccans mouth and nose, and one over each of his ears. As shown in Civil War: Runaways/ Young Avengers, if Wiccan cant hear his own voice, he cannot cast spells. Even teleportation, as evidenced by him being unable to escape from that situation. The air tight bubble over his mouth and nose will also mean that Wiccan will quickly pass out as he uses the small amount of oxygen contained within. With this small use of her powers over, Sue uses the rest of her abilities to make Speed invisible. Speed vs Quicksilver Speed, invisible to the eye, will be the obvious choice to take on Quicksilver. Although Quicksilver has considerably vaster experience of fighting at his own speed, Speed will have the considerable advantage of being invisible. This should allow him to keep Quicksilver occupied, although not neccesarily take him out. Namor & Vision vs War Machine Namor and Vision take on War Machine. No doubt War Machine will be prepared for a Vision phasing attack, and Vision will indeed fight, but more to run interferance. He will use a combination of all his abilities, Phasing, diamond hard strengths, solar beams to batter War Machine, and aim him toward the sea. Phasing is highly effective against technological foes, but aware that War Machine will be expecting this tactic, it is not the main/only way our team has to take him out. It will still be very effective in combat. As soon as he is within striking distance of the sea, (which shouldnt be too hard, considering the size of the island) Vision and Namor will both grab War Machine and fly at full speed into the ocean. Once Namor and War Machine are in the Ocean, Namor will continue the fight while vision departs. Namor should be able to dismantle War Machine's armour underwater, as he was seen doing against Tony Stark recently in Invincible Iron Man and in the Illuminati when they fought over the decision to send away the Hulk. Namor is the undisputed strongest in the water. Moondragon vs Pym Moondragon, as soon as she touches down, has focused her mental powers on Pym. Mentally the weakest of the opponents team, Moondragon forces Pym to see his own team as Ultrons, and my team as dead Janet Pym, Jocasta, Cap Tony and Thor., whilst feeding him the idea that he has set these Ultron's loose. Crippled by this mental attack, and unlikely to be able to participate in the fight, Moondragon will locate him and humanely knock him out using her expert martial art skills. Crystal vs Panther. Crystal plays slow-down against Black Panther. Aware of his physical prowess, she will keep her distance whilst attacking T'Challa with gale winds, firewalls and earthen barriers. End of phase 1: Wiccan down, War Machine Down, Pym Down. Phase 2 Namor vs Black Panther Namor flys to take on Black Panther. Although T'challa has enhanced senses and reflexes, he will be no match for Namor so close to the Ocean. This should be a short fight. My team now gangs up on Quicksilver. Moving so fast, he will be a tricky opponent for even Namor to actually hit. Crystal lies prone on the floor, playing dead. Moondragon attacks Quicksilvers mind, applying a subtle suggestion that Crystal has actually been fatally injured in the fight. Regardless of his current view on the Inhumans, he would still have a moments pause at seeing the mother of his child dead on the ground. In the mean while, Vision will apply himself to Speed as Armour (as seen in Runaways/Young Avengers), taking on a diamond hard consistancy, and greatly increasing Speed's strength and durability. With these enhancements, and Sue Storm keeping them both invisible, the Young Avenger duo should be able to take out Quicksilver with a barrage of attacks, aided by the fact that Quicksilvers reactions will be dulled by Moondragons mental probe. END OF THE FIGHT |

My team is up against a group of heavy hitters, so I’ve decided that the best defense is a good offense. They’re going hit hard, fast and hopefully take down the greatest threats quickly.
IMMEDIATELY: Moondragon is easily the most dangerous person facing my team at this point. If she isn’t taken out quickly, she’ll become a big problem. So the second the match begins, Quicksilver will push his super speed to its limits. According to Marvel, he can push around Mach-4, but with his exposure to the High Evolutionary’s Isotope E, his upper limits could be higher. He’s going to put that to the test. Pietro will make a bee line for Moondragon. He hopes to hit her with a supersonic knockout blow before she can bring her considerable mental powers to bear on the team. His attack will be fast and hard. He’ll make no attempt at stealth, which would be near impossible with the sonic booms in his wake. At that speed, coupled with Captain America’s training, he should be able to counter her martial arts skills. If the initial attack isn’t enough to take her out, he will continue to hammer her with fists at high velocity. Following Pietro in the frontal assault will be War Machine. Rhodey has the unenviable task of targeting Namor, pitting his considerable physical might and technological prowess against the Sub-Mariner. As he rockets to Namor, Rhodey will be pulling all available Hydrobase tech and weaponry (Quinjets, security, reinforced shield walls, etc.) to him and merging it with his armor. Going up against someone as powerful as the Sub-Mariner, he’s going to need it. Rhodey’s main goal is to prevent Namor from reaching the water and in this, he will pull out the stops. He’ll use his repulsor rays, missiles, high caliber bullets, sonic beams and the limits of his imagination to pin Namor down. And War Machine is no slouch physically as well. With Class 80 strength and the advantage of distance attacks, Rhodey will either knock him out, or hold him long enough for a teammate to help him. This loud head on attack is going to draw attention, and hopefully, it’ll distract away from the fact that Wiccan will immediately teleport himself, Dr. Pym and Black Panther right behind our opponents (and inside any shields they put up.) Given how intuitive Billy’s powers are, he should be able to find them almost immediately, even if Sue has rendered them invisible. The mantra should take only a second, as he was able to tear through one of Loki’s illusions in just a second or two in the most recent issue of Mighty Avengers. Instantly upon appearing behind our opponents – and inside any forcefields: The Black Panther will unleash a barrage of energy daggers from his gloves at the Invisible Woman. Even if Sue is invisible when they arrive, T’Challa’s enhanced senses should be able to easily pick up Sue’s scent and hit her. Even if Sue is behind a force field, she still feels the impact on her shields. A few years ago, Sue was knocked out after the Thing accidently punched one of her forcefields during a battle with a villain. Perhaps T’Challa’s energy daggers don’t hit quite that hard, but I imagine they’ll be enough to force her to either drop the shield or any invisibility bestowed upon her teammates. Also, if Sue’s shielded the team, that force field will be taking a high speed pounding from Pietro to the same effect. If Sue is taken out, Panther will assist against Moondragon. Pym will blast at Moondragon with the maximum setting of his biodisruptor pistol. This should be more than enough to knock her out or interrupt any mental attack or defense she’s currently invoking. Should Quicksilver fail to take her out quickly, Pym will be the back up plan. If she’s invisible when they arrive, Pym will immediately go to wasp-size and take to the air to make himself a harder target until T’Challa can counter Sue. If he manages to take out Moondragon, he’ll go to giant-size and assist Rhodey against Namor. Wiccan go airborne and attack Speed, Crystal and the Vision. Now, two of these people are his friends (Speed is his brother), so Billy isn’t going to pull out all of the stops (and they’ll likely hold back on him, as well). But in the air, he should be largely protected from the non-flying Speed and Crystal and he has enough raw power to fight all of them at once. No mantras or complex spells. Just force fields, energy blasts and waves of forked lightning attacks. Simple and powerful. In the rare event that he manages to defeat these three, he’ll assist Rhodey against Namor. Once Moondragon is down, Quicksilver will shift his focus to helping Wiccan. |

Ok!
First of all no tactics are given for how to defeat Vision. He is just included in a general beat down being administered by Wiccan, apparanty. Is Vision expected to sit tight and wait for this to happen? With that in mind I think it's pretty fair to say that Vision would be fully able to join the fight against Rhodes. With phasing attacks shown to be so effective agains Stark based tech in Civil War #7, War Machine has no chance. Quicksilver has not had isotopeE level speed for quite some time. I think Speed being invisible and specifically on Quicksilver intercept duty should be more than enough to stop Pietro. Crystal is in a similar position to Vision, she is dealt with vaguely, at the end of the fight, by the least experienced and least physically tough member of the opposing team, at a time I would argue Wiccan would be unconscious. Crystal seems perfectly free to keep panther busy even by Mike Smash's own strategy. |

Speed is wayyyyyyyyyyy faster than Quicksilver. He can run from New York to Genosha in less than the time it takes Wiccan to say a few words. That's maybe a second to go halfway around the world and Quicksilver's not matched that on his best day. Quicksilver goes down.
Moondragon is also set to counter Pym's back up attack on her, meaning she gets the drop on him and is not at all countered in this match. Pym goes down. Vision is not countered properly meaning War Machine goes down. Invisible Woman initially counters Wiccan. Crystal's assault on Black Panther coming before he gets Sue is up in the air; he has to close some distance to use his energy daggers. Considering then, that Crystal is only attacked if Black Panther gets to Sue before Crystal has any effect on him (I think her powers would work before he can close the distance) means I lean toward Crystal and Sue here. BP and Wiccan are countered. This goes heavily in Shyft's & Byzantine's favour.

Congratulations, Byzantine & Shyft, you advance to Game D where you'll face Avenger08 next Wednesday. Remember, your strategy is due the night before your match. Details on the battleground for Week 3 have already been posted.
Mike Smash!, great job as always, but unfortunately this was your second loss which means you have been eliminated.
