Default Gotta say...Secret 6 has a lot of what DC is missing

And I'm not even talking the killing. Characters with unique personalities that are fun to read. It's one of the few DC books I look forward to every month along w/ Superman/WoK, B&R & Red Robin.

I've read some of it and I just didn't digg it that much. I wish I liked it as much as everyone else, I feel I'm missing something great =(

I was really in the same boat as you. I read the two minis first (Villains United and Vol 2) in tpb and really didn't see it as a big deal. Catching up on Vol 3 tuned me in, especially after Gail herself told me it was okay to see it that way. I went back and collected singles for the current run, but didn't really jump on board until about 'Date Night.' I think it finally set in around then. I could appreciate the snark and exchanges. I won't go overboard and say its everyone's cup of tea, but when compared to the more traditional good guy fair being published, S6 offers dark humor and moments of badassery lacking in near every other title DC's puts out. Don't be ashamed if it didn't really grab you, but this is one of those titles that may be an acquired taste if you didn't really start from the beginning.

It got very good after I gave it a second shot.

I quite liked the first mini. Was put off by the second.

But the on going? Whoo-boy. That's some good stuff Gail and Nicola got going there.

The current arc is dragging a wee bit, but even then there are some truly magnificent moments. A great read. And yes, a very non-DC book.

Secret Six is, no doubt, the BEST thing DC is publishing right now.

Bring back Negasonic Teenage Warhead! Because there are more people who want to see her in the X Books than there are who want to see Jean Grey again.

It's easily the best team book that DC are putting out at the moment. The writing is tight, the artwork's great and Simone is making the so-called "B-Listers" into an A-list cast. It's consistantly one of the highlights of my comic-buying month and a genuine pleasure to read. Kudos, Ms Simone.

I wish Gail Simone (read: one of the most talented writers working today) were in charge at DC. The books would be a lot better, IMHO.

But if she were in charge she might not have as much time to write the awesome books that she does.

There's no other option, we have to clone her

I think part of the reason it is good is due to Gail actually listening to what readers think, like/dislike by interacting with them. I wish more creators would do so.
