Default Which New Mutant has/had the best family?

Family is very important, but for some reason, living and happy families are hard to come by in the X-Men. Once they join one of the several teams, these mutants almost never see their homes again!

Luckily, the New Mutants broke this chain. The compassion and closeness of these families was felt by every reader. Each of the New Mutants had a unique set of relatives, but which New Mutant has/had the best/worst family?

****The poll only goes for the worst, tell us with your posts who you deem the worst!!! Also, please tell us why you chose the families you did!

Danielle Moonstar lived with her parents until her mutant powers manifested. She moved into the mountains with her grandfather. Then the Hellfire Club beat him to death, and she joined the New Mutants. After gaining more control over her fearsome gifts, she returned home for a visit, and reuinited with her beloved parents.

Does DANI have the best New Mutant family?

Roberto Da Costa sat down to family meals every night when he still lived with his parents. His father later joined the Hellfire Club to be closer to his son in New York.

With this kind of dedication, how can they not be the best?

Rahne Sinclair was raised in a church by her minister dad. Later, after he searched desperately for her with a group of friendly neighbors to help her with her mutation, she joined the New Mutants and called Moira "mommy."

Were MOIRA MACTAGGERT and REVEREND CRAIG the best New Mutant parents?

Douglas Ramsey had a great relationship with his parents. They, and the rest of his family, were crushed to learn their son had died in a hunting accident.

The RAMSEYS loved their son and wish they could've spent more time together. Were they the best family?

Xi'an Coy Mahn's mother and father died while trying to escape Vietnam. Her father was shot in the back by pirates, and her mother was raped by pirates and died from the injuries. Xi'an only had her copious amount of siblings left, until she killed her brother and her uncle kidnapped her twin, younger siblings.

With all that suffering bringing them together, they must be the best New Mutant family!

Amara Aquilla has the strangest family of all the New Mutants. She grew up in Nova Roma with her father, Lucius Antonius Aquilla and her loving grandmother many times removed: Selene.

Did SELENE and LUCIUS raise MAGMA right?

Sam Guthrie comes from a large southern family. This inseparable family is ripe with mutants, with feuds and accents to boot. As a parent, it was Ma's job to foster the bond between siblings, as well as between each parent and child, and boy do the Gurthries have bonds! Friend of the family, Reverend Stryker, recently helped strengthen these bonds.

HUSK, ICARUS, AERO, and CANNONBALL! Is the Guthrie family the largest and the greatest?

Warlock was a robotic alien with the power of love. His love made him a mutant, and forced his father's gentle hand into action. He knew the only way to help his son, but the New Mutants drove them a part.

Was MAGUS a good father? Doesn’t he deserve another chance?

Last, the Rasputin family! Collusus, Magik and their parents are hit again and again with deaths and resurrections. After being stolen by Belasco, Magik and Colossus met their family one last time before their accidental deaths.

Is this sweet, Russian family the best?

I have to go with the Ramseys for one reason, they are the only family where one member hasn't tried to harm another in one way or another.

If your family member is a New Mutant then it's safe to say that someone you call kin will try to kill, kidnap, blackmail, or betray your family.

They're all trainwrecks, really. It says something to me that the best off of them is Sam Guthrie. I mean, his sister banged a dude whilst airborne over their mom, and his brother was the one of, if not the greatest failure in the history of Xavier's.

And he's who I voted for. That's scary.

Maybe quantity is what saved it for him.

I chose the Rasputin Family, because they have the most convincing picture.

Karma's family was the worst. Not only were her uncle(dead or alive?) and older brother evil, but her younger siblings are scam artists.

Sam's brothers and sisters are sex crazed and violent.

The Rasputin family is FAR more violent than the Guthrie's, they're prone to mental instability and suicide.

And they're not just sui in their cides--I believe there's not a single person in the bloodline who has not died at least once.

Love the Rasputins, but I had to vote for the Guthries on this one.

Major charges and labels were leveled at Peter concerning his alleged sexual relationship with Kitty over the years. But, just how old was Paige when she was being screwed by Warren a mile up in the sky?

They're victims of circumstance, and that suicide was noble. I forgot about Mikhail.

Thanks It never hurts to ask. This what my net searches keep turning up. I don't agree with it but, hey -- if that's the popular consensus I'll go with it.
