Default What is Spider-Man Magazine / Spider-Man XTRA???

What is Spider-Man Magazine / Spider-Man XTRA???

Are these issues within the continuity of Amazing Spider-Man?

Is Spider-Man Xtra the same thing as Spider-Man Magazine?

I can't believe nobody's taken a shot at answering your question firstmode...allow me.

The three Spider-Man Extra's that we've had so far are 100% within the continuity of Amazing Spider-Man. They just contain extra stuff (i.e. new stories) that the Web Heads (or Brain Trust if you'd rather) decided they couldn’t fit into the regular Amazing Spider-Man comics. So far, the Spider-Man Extras have been pretty essential if you're following ASM.

As for Spider-Man Magazine, this is aimed more at kids and basically consists of re-prints of stories that appeared in the Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man comics, as well as puzzles, games and pinups.

The Marvel Adventures stories aren’t part of mainstream Amazing Spider-Man continuity. Having said that, although they're written primarily for kids, in my experience the Marvel Adventures comics are also excellent done-in-one stories that are really good fun to read.

Amazing Spider-Man Extra is all-new material firmly within the realms of "mainstream continuity", Spider-Man Magazine consists of reprints and (I think) new text-based stories.

I don't think they're going to do any more issues of ASM Extra, instead they're going to run them as regular issues of ASM - next month's #605, for instance, was originally meant to be the fourth issue.
