Default The Great Ten mini-series

From the Source...
Quote:
At the dawn of the Chinese Century, the 10 official “super-functionaries” of the People’s Republic face their greatest challenge as the gods of Ancient China return to destroy communist rule. Will the most populous nation on Earth drag the rest of the world down with it? Do its heroes even want to save a government that treats them like pawns?
I like the idea of the story and I'm looking forward to this but I'm still a bit weary of the art. The cover is nice.

I think this series is way too long overdue. I think DC has lost a lot of interest in these characters by waiting so long to capitalize. I might have picked this up if it came out following 52 when The Great Ten were hot topics. Now, I don't care anymore.

I still care.

I actually thought this mini fell by the wayside. I am jazzed to see that it is still coming out. The names of Bedard and McDaniel as creators mean that much more good news.

While I am most excited about reading this story about the core team, I do hope that Chang Tzu plays a role.

I think they have become far to silver age since the end of 52

Oh, that's nice. Not familar with the characters but Im always happy when DC promoting new characters instead of old Silver age ones.

You may have something there.

I feel the same regarding Batwoman. While she did get more exposure than The Great Ten following 52, I think DC failed to sufficiently capitalize on her. I'm happy she's currently starring in 'Tec, it's a good story so far, but after the huge fanfare she received when introduced, DC kind of did nothing substantial with her for some time. Mind you, that was DC's own fault. By announcing her the way they did as a lesbian character, she became more about being a lesbian than a new, interesting character. DC was left with little choice than to "put her on the backburner", so to speak.

It's overdue but it's better late than never. I'm still looking forward to it.

I'm interested. Cover looks awesome. This is the first thing since the Milestone introduction that's got me excited!

Cool. I liked these characters in 52... well, except for Mother of Champions, but the Yeti, Socialist Red Guardsman, Accomplished Perfect Physician (at this point I'm starting to lol just typing these ridiculous names...), August General in Iron and Immortal Man in Darkness are all pretty cool.

I mean, Immortal Man in Darkness is a plane. How cool is that?

Though I forget how many of them Black Adam killed.

Black Adam killed the Yeti and destroyed Shaolin Robot but Shaolin Robot got better.

I'm still waiting for a Celestial Archer to fight Green Arrow. Hell, I'm still waiting for a meet-up/fight/team-up with the JLA.
