Exclamation FamilyNet: State of the Network: Summer 2009

Hello! I am here with a thread that will be focusing on the various changes that the FamilyNet television network are going through during this summer season. This is a time of changes in the line-up: I am going to discuss the many changes that this network is going through, as it enters the 2009-2010 fall season!

First of all, we have seen the cancellation of the outstanding talk show 'Every Day With Marcus & Lisa Ryan', which was one of the three new shows that was pushed as part of the 'NEW FamilyNet' push of January 2008 (The other such shows wre 'Mornings' & 'Judie Byrd's Kitchen'!) I felt that this show was better than the bland & uninspiring 'Judie Byrd's Kitchen'! There are some new original series coming this Fall!

Plus, we also saw the dropping of 'I Spy'. It was a tragedy, as it was one of only two action-adventure shows on the FamilyNet roster at the time, the other being 'Early Edition'! There is some kind of hope, since FamiyNet is going to air a nine-hour 'I Spy' marathon tomorrow night starting at 9 PM Eastern/8 PM Central! I hope this marathon will give fans the reason that they would rather have action-adventure shows over brain-dad sitcoms any day of the week!

We have also lost the great show 'Tech Head', which was the only tech-themed show FamilyNet had at the time! They had learned tis mistake quickly enough &will be bringing back 'Tech Head' this Fall!

I will be bringing you fella more about FamilyNet in the future. In the meantime, you can go to the FamilyNet website at: www.familynet.com !

And you can also join the FamilyNet Community at: http://familynettv.ning.com

Thanks!

I have watched the 'I Spy' marathon last night, & I have a question to all of you: Would you like to see more action-adventure shows on FamilyNet?

You can send your responses to: scott.miller@familynet.com !

FamilyNet has shown the somewhat violent 'I Spy' from September 2008 to this August!

And for more of the changes on FamilyNet's line-up: They also cancelled the documentary series 'American Documentaries', which featured material from the old Faithprints series. liked this show more than the relatively shallow 'The Greats', which kind of sucked!
