Story

Welcome to Grimholme. The local government is rife with corruption, the Elven Mafias compete for power, goblin gangs run amok, unlicensed wizards and unsanctioned necromancers walk openly and their are even demon cults washing the streets with innocent blood.

You are a watchmen, apart of the City Watch, the G.H.C.D. (D for dubya). Not only that, but you're a good, clean watchmen. Hence you have survived the purge to wipe the force of corruption. Perhaps you're a veteran officer, around during the days of corruption or a new recruit, fresh to replace those thrown away. You can play either in whatever way you wish. Just remember one important fact: You fight crime.

You may choose any race you can think of, but here are the most common in the city: Elf (High, Wood and Dark), Dwarf (Hill, Mountain and Deep), Humans, Gnomes, Halflings, Orcs, Goblins, Kobolds, Drakes (Red, Blue, Yellow, White, Green, Black and Brown), Lycans (Rat, Wolf and Tiger), Trolls (Mud, Sea and Sky) and hybrids.

Notes Concerning:
-Elves: Dark Elves can see in absolute darkness. Red eyed drow see through heat but different colored eyes have different ways to see. Wood Elves can too, after some adjustment. High Elves only see down to low-light conditions. The three elves described here run the various mafias, the Drowish Mafia, the Eladrin Mafia and the Treant Mafia, which use the old names of the three races. The Drows, the Dark Elves, are the dirtiest and most violent. The Eldadrin, the High Elves, are responsible for much economic and politic corruption. The Treant, the Wood Elves, are the most legitmate, going behind the law only when they have been insulted or their territory encroached and are going for revenge. Their can be other sorts too.
-Dwarves: Hill Dwarf women have no beards, Deep Dwarf women do and Mountain Dwarves treat it as optional. Hill Dwarves are the majority of the dwarf population since they are the most liberal sort. Mountain Dwarves being the minority because they are isolationists in their mountain keeps. Those that leave are honorable warriors seeking adventure and would gravitate to a cleaned up City Watch or criminal exiles to bolster the underworld ranks. The Deep Dwarves keep to themselves, despite outnumbering the Mountain Dwarves. They are refugees fleeing from their war-like theocracy, one that even declared a holy war on all elven kind. Hill Dwarves, by contrast, get along phenomenally with elves. Other sort too.
-Orcs: Orcs are the Dominic Deegan variety. You can make different sort.
-Drakes: Drakes are quadrapedal creatures bigger then ponies but smaller then horses that look like wingless dragons. They stand tall over most humanoids when sitting straight on their hinds which they do to use their dexterous front claws. Red and Black Drakes are the biggest and White and Brown are the smallest. Red and Green Drakes both breathe fire. Black breathes acid fog, White breathes frost, Blue shoots lightning and Yellow use sonic screams. White has vestigial wings and Brown has functional wings. Their are other sort too.
-Lycan: Lycan do not shapeshift, they are always furry. Their are more sort then that listed. Wererats generally work with the Drowish Mob, Weretigers for the Eladrin Mob,
-Trolls: Trolls regenerate but only when covered in their element. Mud Trolls must be covered in dirt and earth (Some environment facilitate a 'dirty' atmoshpere). Sea Trolls must be sumberged in water. Sky Trolls must be in thin air. Trolls of all varieties can breathe in any of these environments. Sky Trolls are winged, Sea Trolls are better swimmers and Mud Trolls are simply stronger. They regenerate at a rate that is barely visible but they can regenerae from anything, going into stasis when to much damage is done until they heal. Burns, both acid and firey, cannot be healed from.
-Hybrids: Any combo is possible. Hybrids with Drake or Dragons with most humanoids are often called Dragonborn and Lycans with any other humanoids are called Animal People (ie Cat Girls, Dog Boys).
-Other Races: You can make different variety of them.
-More Races: Go ahead.

Gifted: Generic super power. May come with 'Most Common Super Power' or alternatively 'Freakish Mutation.' Also comes with 'Berserker Rage' and 'Mad Scientist Crazy' as optional.
Expert: Generic super talent. This overlaps with weapon proficiencies and martial styles just as much phorensic science and being able to play the piano.
Wizard: Spell caster with mana limiter. Also comes in divine powered Cleric variety. Just as Clerics are themed by god or can be general 'Lol miracles,' Wizards can be generalized or themed themselves.
Paladin: Make deal with a god, get piece of their essence and use it to get spiffy transformation sequences (Can come 'Super Sentai' get cool armor variety or actual physical change). Shaman are the more arcane variety that have an entire spirit (Weaker then a whole god but equal to the pieces of essence they had out) within them. They tend to lean more toward physical bodily changes instead of the armor with the tacked on Blessed With Suckiness of it tending to be permanent.
Druid: Like Wizard but more of 'Wicked trouble, boil and bubble' witchcraft variety instead of 'I CAST FLARE' shenanigans. Some people deny its existence but that doesn't stop gypsy curses from taking affect. Also comes in divine power Priest variety.

These aren't strict guidelines, but broad categorizations that you can mix and match to make a well-rounded and unique character.

City Watch uniform consists of leather studded armor overlayed with a breast plate with G. H. C. D. gilded to it gold letters. Their is also a helmet with leather inlay. Finally, their is a necklace with your badge of office. The armor uniform isn't mandatory, but the badge is.

Name: Daniel Andersone aka The Professional

Appearance: Well kept african american, think denzel washington. His costume is simply a nice suit with a bullet proof vest underneath...and a simple black mask.

Talents:
-Hand to Hand combat (Extensively trained due time in the military.)
-Fire Arms Proficency, prefers hand guns, but is capable with assualt rifles as well.
-Stealth- Is very sneaky and can get into most places undetected
Basically he's the perfect example of what would happen if a goverment black ops agent decided to play superhero. He's clean cut, a professional, but he's is kind of emtionally detached chosing reason, and logic over his heart.

Story: Star athlete in highschool, joined the marines stayed in the military for ten years becoming an accomplished and well trained soliders. He then got out of the military and opted for a quiet life, but his neighborhood was riddles with crime. No longer able to take it he picked up his two .45 caliber pistols, and went out and started serving his own brand of justice, he has been a vigilante ever since. Joining the watchmen when invited.
