Default Herogasm #3 - Black Noir

So...

I'd like to discuss what happened to Hughie and Black Noir because I'm at a loss for what the hell happened.

Black Noir didn't rip off Hughie's balls or something like that so I can assume that this has something to do with his powers. I don't think grabbing someones junk could traumatize them that much.

Then there's Black Noir's villains: Coagula and Sex-Face. Particularly Sex-Face seems like he could have been messed around with. Maybe this is the result of repeated exposure to Black Noir's power. Coagula seems like he could be mentally unsound for the same reasons.

Before this issue I suspected that Black Noir was Butcher's man on the inside but that's probably not the case. It'll probably turn out to be the Queen's servant guy that makes all her drinks or Jack from Jupiter. (just a hunch)

I've just finished reading it too; I'm pretty confused myself.

First Hughie is conked out with his trousers down, then we see him hiding from Butcher; THEN in the next panel we see him, he's in his original position, saying 'uh'. Uh?

Knowing Ennis if this isn't a mistake there's going to be something (hilariously) unpleasant behind it..

Black Noir didn't do any of that. Look at the panel layout of that page again. BN grabs Hughie's package. Next panel you see Noir make a "Thumbs Up" gesture. Then its Hughie's bug eyes as you read "Good soldier, Good Solider." To me BN gave Hughie the ol' Fisteroonie up the jacksie.

That 'good soldier, good soldier' - isn't that a line from TDKR?

I thought that Black Noir shoved his thumb up Hughie's ass.

Default thumb up his ass?

really? thats it?

Never had one up my ass before but I reckon if I had super-god-damn-powers I wouldn't take it laying down.

What a wuss.

Default Advice, please.

I'm reading the Boys, but in my usual shambolic way didn't realize there was a separate mini until very recently.

Do I "need" to read Herogasm to better follow the main series?? Or should I get it anyway just because its a good read??

I have to say I've really grown bored of 'The Boys' recently. Reading the last issue I realised we're thirty-odd issues in, with barely any interesting character development, or story progression. The premise started off interestingly enough but has really grown tired. I doubt I'll pick up another issue.

LOVE this series. It's an entertaining read as long as you don't take it too seriously and instead enjoy the spoofing of popular superheroes. It's a good supplement to The Boys, but it's not the type of comic that could stand alone well---which is fine because that's not the reason it was created.

Black Noir...a gimpy, pervy Batman analogue.
