Default Spiderman vs. Fire Lord Ozai (Avatar)

How does Peter do against this particular Fire Lord?

Fight occurs in the same place Aang fought Ozai in the series finale. Also, Ozai is at his Sozen's Comet power level.

I'd say he loses. He def has a huge speed edge, but I think the FL's attacks are just too damn wide. I don't know how he's avoiding the huge blasts of continuous fire the FL can generate. He could probably avoid his lightning, but not that fire.

In an arena setting, I don't think Spider-Man can reach Ozai before he unleashes massive waves of fire. Once Ozai is in the air, Spidey will be hard pressed to touch him at all, since the Firelord can fire copious amounts of flame to eradicate any web attempts.

If Spidey could land even one good punch though, Ozai gets creamed in short order.

Remember fight takes place in the same location where Aang fought Ozai. Basically, an area with canyons and giant stone columns. Plenty of places for Spidey to web swing and hide.

Heh. Given the environment, Spider-Man certainly could take it with something resembling how he dealt with Firelord, but it's hard to call. It depends a lot on whether or not Spider-Man can goad Ozai into following him into the stone jungle as opposed to just nuking everything from high above.

Again I don't see what's going to stop Ozai from just flying up out of reach and roasting the area until it glows. His fireblasts can cover a *very* wide area.

Ozai's massive ego and short temper is going to make him very susceptible to Spidey's witty banter and that's going make him sloppy in this fight.

Ozai takes this if he can keep a cool head and just hangs back fragging the area from the air. However that isn't very likely since he's going to want to punch Spidey in the face to shut him up and if he gets too close Spidey's going to blitz the crap out of him and tear his arms off in an instant.

So Ozai could win this but Spidey is likely to pull through simply by goading him into close range.

One of the few cases of verbal taunting being effective in a rumble fight? :P

It's a valid tactic.

Also, looking back on the Ozai/Aang fight, which was awesome and reminds me why I love Avatar, Ozai was having trouble tagging Aang for the majority of the fight.

Peter makes Aang look like he's moving in slo-mo, Ozai's never going to hit him to be frank.

Didn't rea the OP right I guess. In that setting, Spidey could definately pull it off.

At first I was thinking this would be an easy win for Spidey because of his speed.

But, to play devil's advocate... can't Ozai surround himself with superheated air/flames? Make it impossible for Spidey to get near him without getting cooked. Then he can blast away to his heart's content, even if it takes him forever to score a hit.

He hasn't shown the capacity to create a perpetual shield of fire the way Avatar Aang could.

As FalconX said, unless Spidey can get to him and unleash some punches, he's done for. I almost forgot about the wide range of attacks Ozai could unleash with his fire. Spidey is literally going to be toast by the end of this fight.
