Rogue was very rude to Rachel in the following scene. However, Rachel was often very rude to Rogue and also used to make fun of her with Kitty Pryde. Should Rogue have been more polite to her teammate?

O cutie pie, you know Rogue was one of the only X-Men to reach out to Rachel or could possibly come close to understanding her. She tired to talk to Rachel and help her more than once too, it is a very downplayed friendship but Rogue was pretty good to Ray even when it wasn't easy to be.

No, Kitty was the one that said "You're at least as sane as Rogue" Rachel just replied with "Thanks a lot". Rachel was responding to Kitty implying that both girls were fruity nutcakes with too much power.

In an upcoming issue of X-Men Legacy, Mike Carey will explore Rogue's repressed lesbian identity. This scene will be reinterpreted, amongst others. And then Rogue will be killed off.

Rachel is too sensitive to be spoken to this way, Rogue attacked her and made her pucker up. Rogue's brutish approach was endangering everybody.
