Having said that, he is not alone in that dedication. Steve Rogers also falls into that category of character, amongst others.

Loved the JLU ep where the younger Batman is interrogating a perp in the usual manner, and the older Bruce interrupts him and says, "Was I ever that green?" And within like five seconds, the older Bruce has him singing like a canary!
The only man that can compete with Timm's Bruce Wayne is Timm's older, crankier Bruce Wayne!
