Like I said, as far as I'm concerned any hint the Gods tried to do anything in that story arc was subtle at best. It may very well just be me, and this goes for other comics other than WW and other mediums in general, but I like to know why things happen, I hate 'just because' as an answer, it's a cop out to me, I don't need every single detail told, just something with a bit more depth, so to me anyway, any future retelling of the origin story should reexamine the events that leads the Gods to giving Diana the task at hand.

I always think of it along the lines that the goddesses and gods are almost entirely "hands-off" when it comes to our world these days. Sure, Ares may be cheating, so to speak, but they still see it as mostly our problem to deal with.

More importantly, they have faith in Diana, and the "gifts" they have given her, to win the day.

But that's just me.

Though you read it another way, what I intended was that Perez put Diana in such a very daunting position that though it is epic, heroic, and noble even in just the attempt would put give anyone pause.

I could actually see it; Diana, new to man's world, coming from a culture so different and lacking an understanding of the people she's suppose to teach, a myriad problems coming from all directions. Come in too high with her mission, her burden, and she'll be considered aloof and distant, the worse being inhuman. The alternative is failure and that alternative cannot come to pass, for that failure means whatever she espouse is wrong and worst man's world is hopeless.
Well, that´s why they´re super-heroes.
Because they take on daunting tasks and face formidable enemies.

Doesn´t mean they think themselves better than the rest of us, that they put themselve sin a pedestal, much the contrary.

This will come across negatively no matter how I word it, and I apologize in advance, but it seems like you want your comic book stories, or at least this origin story, spoon fed to you.

Still the best Wonder Woman so far.

"I yearn for more from my life... I yearn for purpose!"

How very... human! ;)

"I shall never again take an active role in Man's demise!"

If only, Ares, if only...

Not at all, quite the opposite actually, I want more information, not coz I don't get it, but because I want to know what makes some of the characters tick, I guess something with more texture if that makes sense. It's just some of the reasoning for certain events I find is just over simplified for my liking. Probably boils down to me watching to many HBO TV series. :)

I know, but call me stubborn.

Whoever said that super hero comics is more about the journey and not the end speaks true.
