So Red here brainwashed Sharon to shoot Steve with a time machine gun, have Doom build a device to pull him out of the subspace with Sharon as the anchor. Just so he could transfer his soul into Steve's body?

Why didn't he just clone Steve's body again? It seems more cost effective.

Bucky shot him in the beginning of Bru's run.

2. Since when did Ronin start flat out killing people? He stuck those H.A.M.M.E.R. agents with arrows but good. Those were no flesh wounds.

3. Why does Doom go to all this trouble to personally help out with Red Skull's silly plot? And it is silly. Just freaking kill Rogers, you idiot, you're acting like a villain on the old Adam West Batman show. You KNOW he's going to stop you, he's done it 836 times before. You should just be sick of him by now. And Doom should just tell him straight up, "if you want a better body then go to the gym like everybody else, Doom has a country to run."

4. I like the coloring, it's really good.
1. Mighty Avengers sucks. But other than that even Eternity told Pym that Richards was smarter than he was.

2. Ronin doesn't care about Hammer agents. He went to purposely kill Osborn after all.

3. Doom has an ego and wants to prove that his machine will work and that he is a man of honor.

4. I like the coloring too.

Overall another solid issue. I can't wait to see what happens. Though I wonder if after Skull is defeated if he isn't just going lay "dormant" in Steve only to pop back up as a plot point maybe? Here is hoping for two Caps, Steve AND Bucky!!

The reason could be that the Red Skull hates Steve SO much that cloning him (again) is not enough. To actually occupy his body would be the ultimate insult/revenge.

He doesn't care about cost; he wants the genuine article (and it was a good plan, really; the only reason it didn't work the first time was because Faustus betrayed him).

Did I miss something, wasn't the Red Skull in Armin Zola's body at the end of issue 3?

He still is, in a way. He's still in that robot body, but at the end of issue 3 Sin and Crossbones gave him that Red Skull to wear. Notice how in this issue he has that robotic dialog box.

I don't know... the plan seems a bit overly complicated.

But I'll buy it, since I do think the overall story is very good.

Oh ok. It just looked like he was in a different body because when walking towards Doom, he's not bulky like Zola.

Just noticed the magic symbols behind Sues bed. Is that something Doom put there?
Yeah, he used a combination of science and sorcery to prevent Sue from miscarrying again. He siphoned off some of Johnny's energies and solved his problem too. Doom really really got one over on Reed big time.

That was in the Fantastic Four #54 volume 3, before numbering went back to the original. Plot by Carlos Pacheco & Rafael Marin with Karl Kesel on the dialogue. I was glad that Bagley finally got a chance to work on the FF.

I like how Doom always treats Johnny like an idiot.

I think it stands to reason that he would have to let Reed take the lead on this one. IMO, the biggest brains in the MU is either going to be Doom or Reed. Since chronal technology is a big component in this device, they are the most knowledgeable. I think Doom is probably more so since he showed up in FF#5 with a fully functional time platform, completely beating Reed to the punch on that one.

The only reason he's involved is the quid pro quo about that artifact the Skull's men turned up in an archealogical dig in Eisenstadt, Germany. I wanna see Brubaker follow up on that.

Loved the issue BUT

I gotta know how this squares with Clint being captured in "The List". Marvel seems to just be playing really loose with its current continuity, and I'm normally the last guy to stand up for "continuity" in general, but it's starting to grate a little.

This has to happen before "the List," right??? Which would imply that Bucky is STILL Cap at the end of Cap Reborn.

Hopefully somebody will explain this. *sigh*

Another great issue, though.
