Default a couple quick comments

1) I think we'll see Barbara's attitude change in the issues ahead. I recommend giving this some time; they're telling a story here.

2) Since this book is about Stephanie and not Cassie, they simply got the latter out of the way quickly so they could go ahead with the the former's story. There is obviously more to Cassie's story than what we see here, but I don't think the follow-up will appear in this title. We'll probably have to wait until whatever project they have planned for her in 2010.

You assume they have plans. She was leading "the Network" or some version of the outsiders a few months back. Then DC changed paths and left Cassie out in could. Very wrong.

More accurately, she came up with the initial idea for the Network in BATO, but before the story was over, agreed with Nightwing that he would be the best to handle that. I don't think the Network was ever supposed to continue in BATO, but was rather a lead-in to BFTC. They had already decided to bring back the original Outsiders team with Alfred in leadership once Batman left.

I'm not assuming they have plans; they say they have plans. I'm simply repeating that. Of course, plans can change and often do in the comics world.

I'm not sure how you can say leaving Cassie out was "wrong." She's not a real person, you know. You could say it was disappointing, but wrong? That sounds like a moral judgment and I don't think it applies here.

I agree. Considering we're talking about Stephanie Brown, the former Spoiler and Robin, who's already gotten herself killed once before? Regardless of all that, she's now taking on the Batgirl identity? The one Barbara herself used to have?

Yeah, I can see Babs feeling pretty shitty towards Steph given all that...
