I love this character! There's just something about him. I love his total obsession of the Batman and his freaky fetishes, lol. Out of all the tpb books where he is a primary villain not one of them has disappointed me yet. Tho to be fair he has only been in a handful of books to my knowledge but still out of all of the watered down standard fare Joker and Two-Face books they pump out it is a real treat for me to read this great little under rated Bat villain.
I would love to see him on the big screen also! It won't happen but imo they've got a great set up for him to be in the 3rd movie. Batman is on the run from the GCPD so they should take a cue from Batman: Prey and have Strange and a task force get brought in to figure out Batman's true identity and hunt him down. Throw in a main foil like the Riddler and then Batman will have to stop his evil plan all the while Strange is interfering trying to unmask the caped crusader. Sigh..it won't happen but a guy can dream. Anyways I need to stop rambling and ask a question. I have the following tpbs: Batman and the Monster Men, Batman and the Mad Monk, Batman: Prey, Batman: Terror, and Batman: Strange Apparitions. Are there any single issues, runs, tpbs with Hugo Strange in them? Golden Age, Silver Age, Bronze Age, Modern..any will do I just need my Hugo strange fix Thanks in advance! |

I agree with you completely about Hugo Strange. His appearance in Strange Apparitions was one of the best Batman stories of the 70's, the Gerry Conway sequel might have been the best crossover Batman has ever had, Prey is the greatest LOTDK story ever told in my estimation, and as I already mentioned, Brave and the Bold 182 belongs in a time capsule. Anyhow, check out Lorendiac's amazing Hugo Strange timeline here: http://goodcomics.comicbookresources...-hugo-strange/ |

I like Prey far more than Monster Men. It feels more more intense and pulpy. Somthing about Monster Men is just really boring to read. anyone agree?

One other story, not mentioned in the index, is the most recent - BFTC: The Network. It was okay but was nowhere near as good as most Hugo stories.
