The way FC ended with the Miracle Machine it may not have taken any time at all.
I think the Dick and Damian pairing works better than pairing either with Tim. Tim and Dick are too close in age and skill for the Mentor/Student dynamic; and Damian doesn't see Tim as an adult yet, so he can't pair up as Tim's Robin. Tim has all the skills and abilities that he's got the "Bat-" part down. He just hasn't had enough time to process his life experience for the "-man." I think he'll do very well as Red Robin. |

Simple. A Robin always belongs with a Batman, and since Nightwing is Batman now with Damian as Robin, and Tim probably wants to go off and do his own thing, it's clear he needs a new identity. I missed the Robin issue where he put on the new suit for the fist time but that should explain the rest I guess

Was it ever explained how Tim recovered so quickly from his burns as his series drew to a close? I didnt follow the last few in his book. Had some amount of time passed between the last issue of Robin and the beginning of BoTC?
I thought Didio mentioned something in a panel or an interview that it would be explained, and it was the reason he was wearing the Red Robin cowl while he recovered. Those burns on his head looked pretty nasty in the panel I saw.

We all think that know Tim will be Red Robin which is so stupid. A Robin is still a Robin. Just cause you pit a Red i front of it doesn't make not make it a sidekick identity. If he wanted to move on and be his own man the he should have done like Dick.

I get what you mean. It's stupid. I hate how DC constantly tries to make an obvious link with Kingdom Come. Tim should become something else like... Well I don't know , I'm pretty sure some guys are paid to figure these things out.

When those stories are finally over and Bruce does come back (it will happen) it will make it easier for him to fall back in as Batman's sidekick when the status quo returns.

I remember when Tim was introduced ... I was ten. Now I'm 30. I think he should at least be 18 by now. |

I agree. To me, when I read Robin it was like reading spiderman back in the days, when he was still a teen, especially during Nicieza's run. The good ol' sarcastic/teen'ish humor.
