Default Gotham Central?

Good series? How often does Bats appear and how much relevance does this series have to Bats in general?

It's a great series, one of the best DC had put out over the past decade. I can't remember Batman ever showing up in the book, but he is certainly alluded to. His enemies do appear, notably the Joker and the Mad Hatter. The book also establishes Crispus Allen, the new Spectre, and Renee Montoya, the new Question.

Superb series that while tied to Batman due to setting obviously, did much to stand on its own at the same time.

Batman showed up for a handfull of panels every six or so issues. And fewer than that later on, IIRC. But his shadow is very much looming over everything.

Bats or no, it's still one of the best DCU books ever.

The bolded one in probably my favorite story of the title ("Unresolved," #19-22).

Default The Greatest!

I adored this series and wish the CW would make a series of it someday, maybe just fleeting images of the Batmobile but using Gotham as The main character and the assorted detectives who try to do what they have to with all the criminal elements, costumed and not.

Thx guys, I will look for deal on a complete run somewhere. I mean I have EVERY Batman title from '87 to present, I figure I might as well get this series.
