Has anyone read this book by Robert Greenberger?

Yup. It's exhaustingly thorough.

I haven't read it in detail. But I agree that it is very thorough (covering the books up to the mid 70's.)

I just wanted to know if it were worth buying. And I think I've already got my answer.

A very good Batbible. Sorry, I was lurking in this section and found this thread. I have it, its by my bed with my Batman doll. ^_^ It even sits next to my DC Comics Covergirls book.

It covers Batman up until 2008. It is really good and incredibly detailed. Great just to pick up when I'm bored and covers a lot more than the likes of wikipedia

You're right. I was thinking of Michael Fleischer's Batman Encyclopedia. Which is even more exaustive and gets's into all the nitty gritty. But it only covers Batman stories up until the mid 70's.
