Default Bruce Wayne Fugitive

Okay. I love the meeting between Gary Sloan and Batman. This was the pinnacle of the event, I believe. Now, I know how this served the storyline and humanized Bruce and all but is there ever a follow-up in which Batman actually keeps his promise to Gary Sloan and locates Bruce's parent's killer (aka Joe Chill)?

Joe Chill has since been reinstated as the Waynes' killer, has been brought to justice off panel years ago. Or is dead, if that scene in Morrison's Batman run was not a dreal/hallucination/whatever.

'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."

I have seen so many version of Joes Chills fate I am not sure what in in style now. I think he is dead but I don't know if he was murderd becasue mobsters thought it would make the batman go away, he was killed escaping batman, He commited suicide, or something else I might have missed.

No one has followed up on Gary Sloan. Joe Chill was reinstated with "Infinite Crisis" #6 and 7. His fate was depicted in the Batman story, "Joe Chill Is In Hell". He found his parents killer early in his career.

Ah, that's too bad. Such a great climatic build up with Gary Sloan. This is for one instance which I'll let a retcon slip. Really wish somebody would follow up on Batman's promise to the dying former officer.

Post-Fugitive continuity went to hell, so I wouldn't expect any loose ends from before then to be tied up.

Heh, why don't you guys just pick and choose the continuity you like and not worry bout what's in continuity or not?
