Great issue and a bittersweet issue.
Nightwing will always be one of my favourite characters and hope to god dc give him the attention and panel space he deserves this summer. Again, I can't commend peter tomasi enough, His 13 issues have washed away all the devin grayson and bruce johns garbage that was published over the years, chuck dixon's work was great too.

his HQ was in NYC (that's why the JSA was helping him pack, they're neighbors), this has been pretty well established in Tomasi's run

I was kind of hoping that this issue would recap the series as a whole, but it mostly was a setup for future stories and focused on Bruce. Even that page at the end showed him inside of Batman's cowl. How could the character ever stand on its own if he's always in Batman's shadow in his own book!?

He has called on the JSA twice for help both times for moving. Wildcat must be hating the guy by now.

Maybe it's Tim in the Nightwing costume getting beatup by Jason?

I didn't start reading Nightwing until "Batman R.I.P." Has Nightwing always been this good of a read? This issue was so well written, I'm seriously thinking about going and getting some trades, as well as many Back Up issues as I can...

Ever since Tomasi took over it's been amazing. He took over at issue 140.

Chuck Dixon's long run was very good. On the other hand, Devin Grayson's run and Bruce Jones' run have very few fans (trying to be charitable here). I felt that Marv Wolfman's issues were good, and would agree that Tomasi has done an increasingly good job over the course of his run.

Agreed 100%, I just can't see that happening either.

great issue and fitting tribute. Really did feel the emotions more in this episode than any other RIP related title. Tomasi better be on a bat-book after BFTC.
Surely everyone must now agree Babs will be back as Batgirl given the origins and omens segment? |
