BUT

I gotta say those three issues were poorly written and the art was worse. I have not been digging Tomasi's work. And in the interview when he describes how the characters are facets of Batman...his reasoning is exceptionally weak.

Geoforce is his leadership? Black Lightning is Batman's...heart? Halo represents Robin? What? The "Different facets of Batman's personality" is just a tacked-on reason to put together the original Outsiders.

It's too bad because I would have loved to have seen a writer take that concept and really run with it.

Those issues ARE NOT written by Tomasi. The quality of those issues is not at all reflective upon what Tomasi will be bringing to the table.

I'm hooked and I haven't even seen a single preview yet.



Owlman seems to me that is going to end up being Ralph Dibny possesing some vegetative state guy (who's soul has left the body).

Tomasi is a strong writer. I'm looking forward to this.

Jason Bard is a good guess. Unless Ralph Dibny took over someone's body and he's in there. But where's Sue?

Don't remind me. It was truly silly to even bother giving Selina a kid if it wasn't going to be Bruce's. Totally off-topic, but it's an issue that still pisses me off almost three years later...
