Default That Batwoman mini series

Some time ago, there was some pages up on Todd Klein's blogg from a Batwoman mini by Greg Rucka and JH Williams. (Needless to say) it looked great. Does anyone know what the status on this book is? Was it ever properly announced?

I'm not sure anyone wants it anymore. Its been SO long, I think the general feeling could be that propping up Batwoman might come off as kind of pathetic.

Then again, I believe she's being used prominently in Battle for the Cowl, so maybe the idea is to hope people start to like her in that and THEN drop a mini down on people?

I'd love to see the Batwoman mini, but I can't imagine they'd let a Batbook exist right now that wasn't completely mired in the Battle for the Cowl stuff, sadly. I'll gladly wait until this nonsense is up for the Rucka series.

It is probably coming out in June 2009 along with several other new Batman books after Battle for the Cowl. A promotional image of Batwoman by J,H, Williams III was in a recent issue of DC Nation with the tagline "under construction." Also, I believe that Williams has indicated that it is an ongoing and not a mini. I for one am looking forward to it because Rucka and Williams are two of my favorite comic book creators and Batwoman is a character who I have been eager to read more about for over two years now.

I likewise remember a recent rumor that an ongoing Batwoman title by Rucka would be debuting after Battle of the Cowl ends.

I'm eagerly anticipating absolutely anything Rucka does involving Batwoman, Question or both. I've loved how he's run with them in recent stories and I'd absolutely adore seeing an ongoing, especially one where we get to learn more about the new very neglected Batwoman.
