Default was that dreadful bronwyn carlton chased out of comics?

that name just came to me now for some reason.

she was the broad who basically ruined the 90's catwoman series after no man's land.

i plugged her name into google and nothing really came up.

anyone know if she's done any other work in comics besides catwoman? i'm curious how she got that job, as she seemed pretty clueless about the character and everything that had come before in the series.

the escape artist selina of catfile and all those other stories getting caught by the gcpd....and then standing trial, going to prison when she simply could have escaped.

batman really sucked around then too. larry hama was turning out some really horrible issues. robin had jumped the shark too (those boarding school issues).

i remember taking a break about halfway though NML, coming back afterwards and all my old favorites were suddenly unreadable.

geez nearly ten years since nml started.

I wouldn't call her a broad because that's extremely sexist, but yes, she is the woman who ruined Catwoman, and it appears it's kept her out of mainstream comics since then.

I believe she may have had a series with Dark Horse after CW although I could be wrong.

Oh wow. Yeah. Those Catwoman issues were dreadful. One issue was a cliche women in prison story, including a blatant shower scene fight.

She was supposed to be the writer of an ongoing Books of Faerie series at Vertigo that was announced around the time that Peter Gross was writing BoM. (I believe that she did have a Books of Faerie mini featuring Auberon published, but I did not buy or read it.) I think she was a Vertigo editor for a time, but I may be wrong on that.
