How has this series been, anyway? I wonder if Niles'll be writing Two-Face in one of the issues.

Why not? Great story and great art.. The only reason why people are not checking this series out is because Final Crisis and Batman R.I.P are running ATM... Danzig reads it lol

its been really good, so far Scarecrow, Man-Bat, Clayface, a new character named Axe-Man and another called Midnight, who seems to be the main villain atm have showed up, as well as a pretty cool Joker cameo where you see his smile and his eyes from within his sell in Arkham taunting Batman. Batman himself seems actually obsessed with stopping crime and speaks as if they are diseased. After midnight, Gotham becomes really dangerous and all the freaks come out. It's a great story and great art to go along with it.

This has been a pretty enjoyable read and I've always loved Kelley Jones on Batman. His Batman is dark and spooky.

Yep, his Batman has a gorgoyle-esque feel to it.

Did you enjoy issue 3? Midnight revealing his face was pretty badass lol.

I can't wait until it is released hardcover, Steve Niles is planning to get it released oversized so the art is at its fullest potential, even if you dislike the story its worth buying it for the art alone, but the story is kickass so there will be no problem

This is already my second favorite Bat book at the moment. Let's see if they can knock Batman RIP off the top of my list next month.

It's like a trippy old silent movie. Creepy goodness abounds!

Yesh. That was lovely.

I loved the double page "Return to the Earth!" spread the most-est though.

The panel with all the bat signals was pretty special too. The art is over the top good.

Yep: this MY second batbook, too; the other being Dini's detective (although there's not a lot of detecting going on there).

just a plain ol' fashioned creepy Batman story. Enjoyably written, very nicely illustrated.
