That was the most defining Batman story of all time!*
It changed the way Batman was looked at!** Single handedly, it showed Batman was more than just the tv show!*** It used narrative techniques never seen before!**** *To me. **By me. ***To me. ****By me. The first part was the first Batman comic I read. When I was somewhere between 5-8. They cut a dudes head off in it!

Awww, man... all the good Death in the Family-bashing already happened without me...
![]() More on topic, never been a big fan of Aparo's work. My first exposure to his art was during Knightfall, and I personally preferred Graham Nolan's more symmetrical, proportioned work over on Detective Comics than Aparo's on Batman. I dunno why, but Aparo's artwork during Knightfall made ever piece of artwork look tilted to one side, for some reason. That, and Graham Nolan's Joker is just so goddamn pretty.

I'm not a fan of Aparo either, but he was on particularly bad form in Knightfall.

Aparo drew himself into a story in Brave and the bold issue 124. That issue has appearance by Aparo , Bob Haney & Editor Murray Bolitnoff.
