Default Has the Trinity (especially Batman) been detrimental to the rest of the DCU?

Recently, there were some arguments here that DC's concept of the Trinity was actually a bad idea and that it has been a detriment to the DC universe and the rest of it's characters.

Since Batman seems to be the most popular member of the Trinity at the moment, I was wondering whether Bat-fans agree or disagree with the assertions made?

Default

From a publishing and marketing standpoint the Trinity (or at least Batman and Superman) have been integral to the fortunes of DC.

Alot of people started reading comics in general because of these characters. I doubt I'd be reading any of the books in my sig if I wasn't a Batman fan first. so yeah, answers no for me.
