Then again, I'm comparing him to The Joker in this case, and Mistah J has a million different takes, so maybe I'm being a bit unfair.
Oh definitely, Riddler's one of the more consistently portrayed of Batman's villains. This was really just a minor addition that I liked, but never really caught on.

Joker, like you said, is the extreme example of the opposite, but that actually works for his brand of crazy.

Ok so does he know that he used to know Batman's Identity and then got amnesia, if so I think something like that would make him go even crazier then he already is.

He did not exactly figure it out. No deduction skills were involved.

He took a dip in a Lazarus pit, and then Jeph Loeb hit him one the head with the Sledgehammer Of Plot, and the he just went "Ohmygosh! Bruce wayne is Barman!!!"

Riddler really isn't insane, or at least he hasn't been for a while, he's mostly shown as Obsessive compulsive. You're arguing that Riddler is intelligent. An intelligent person would do the simplest solution to complete their objective.

Well, intelligence in the academic sense, and sheer raw intellectual potential-wise, don't always go hand on hand with common sense.

While Riddler doesn't remember who Batman from what we've seen of him lately in Batman and GCS he seems to know that there is a different Batman and that something is not quite "right" about Bruce Wayne so the knowledge may be resurfacing soon. Of course given his last appearance in Batman his amnesia may suddenly be gone

Stepping away from the willing suspension of disbelief for a moment, I have to say that I think just about anybody could figure out Bruce Wayne is Batman.

It wouldn't take a criminal genius or master detective. Heck, Bibbo Bibbowski and Da'Bomb could probably hammer this one out during Superbowl commercials.

wait hold on a minute.... Bruce Wayne is Batman? no way this can't be right, Bruce Wayne is a billionaire playboy, and batman well he is batman, there is no way that Bruce Wayne could ever possibly be Batman, that is just dumb.
