Default Ashes to Ashes. A Batman Fan Film Sin City style!

Dear God. Well this is a give or take 20 minute long french Batman Fan Film done Sin City style. And it's not just the Camera work and Editing, it's the story. It's a Batman story so grim that Not even Frank Miller would write it as a Batman story. It's Basically a What if Gotham was as ****ed up as Basin City kind of movie. AND. IT'S. AMAZING. The Visuals are of course stunning, The Acting is very good for a professional film, unbelievably good for a Fan Film. The make up for the Joker and the Penguin probably wouldn't work with out the Sin City Visuals, but with them THEY REALLY WORK. Just an all around Amazing Fan Film.

Now some Warnings, Batman kills, but there is a reason for that and it's actually an important plot point, It might be NSFW, There is no nudity but Harley and the Joker make some seriously happy noises in the second part, and for those of you to lazy to read subtitles and that demand for everything to be in american, the movie is in French and with English Subtitles. We are talking about a film as grim as Sin City, that makes DKR and Azzarello's Joker look like Johny DC. Consider yourselves warned.

Wow. Ah think I saw this before. Way to OD on the 'grimdark'. Plus.. Batman has a beard? Did I see right? Going noir is one thing, but this is barely recognizable as Batman. And I thought Miller pushed the question of mature writing overusing ultra violence. Dunno, seems pretty derivative and sensationalist.

I thought that was cool in some parts, but definitely a bit too mature for some. You know kids go on this site, right?

interesting but probably would have been better had they not tried to force it into a Batman story and just made a generic sin city noire

It's certainly interesting. I'm not sure the Sin City style works as well as they'd like... or that they used it as well as they could have, but I liked it enough. Aspects of it anyway.

That was pretty good!
It was more of a Saw/Batman/Sin City mash up.
Very well done, great ending, overall quality film.
