I wouldn't toss Weston into the blame pile. He stopped getting scripts and so moved onto other work - namely, storyboards for THE BOOK OF ELI (a job he took on BEFORE The Twelve went on hiatus, in fact).

As for JMS, CHANGELING got him a lot of acclaim and more offers for screenplay work, and Marvel/Quesada let him move onto that. Sucks that the series is on indefinite hiatus (though I hear Weston may've gotten some new material to work on recently) but you can't leave out the fact that Marvel let him leave the series.
