Default Batman: Brave & The Bold - JLA Meets Wacky Races

Just when you think this show can't get any better, it does. Mongul comes to Earth with War-moon (I guess his world was in the shop) and forces the heroes and villains of earth into a race to save the planet. On the hero side it's Batman, Green Arrow, Guy Gardner, The Huntress and Plastic Man (yes, Doiby Dickles is with him!)---basically a version of Morrison's JLA. On the villain side it's The Joker, Catwoman, Gentleman Ghost and Black Manta and racing for Mongul is Steppenwolf, apparently on loan from Darkseid. Everyone has an appropriate car and they fight each other, just like the old Wacky Races (for you kids who don't know what that means, this is where Wikipedia is actually useful).

You should watch it online if you get a chance, but know that at one point the phrase "One punch!" is used and Batman and Guy Gardner are involved.

Best. Episode. Ever.

I caught an episode of this last week, first time I'd actually seen it. It was Batman and Joker teaming up against an evil alternate earth Finger Kane Batman with the devil ears and guns. It was fantastic. Joker looked like an Infantino drawing and had lots of class lines. In the end Batman recruits a team of alt earth Batmen -eg Dark Knight Returns Batman, Azbats, the demon looking Batman I forget the name of - and they all rescue Aquaman, Red Tornado, Green Arrow and Blue Beetle, from traps that were based on Batmans own designs a la Tower of Babel. What a show. It was genuinly amusing, Joker was ace and it picked up so many cool ideas from the comics

You have to catch the first part of it, it was a two parter. The first installment introduces viewers and Batman to Owlman (the evil alternate counterpart dressed as the original Batman, he's stolen the uniform after escaping Bruce's jail in the Batcave, where he'd been left during most of the first episode). The majority of it has Batman on the evil Earth posing as Owlman, trying to stop the evil counterparts to his allies with the help of the Red Hood, one of the alternate Earth's heroes.

The one punch gag has already been done in B & B.
