Default Blackheart vs Thanos

Mephisto's son takes on the Mad Titan in a battle to the death.

Fight takes place in the Arena. No prep-time. Standard powers.

Who wins?

Blackheart's kinda.. the made in Taiwan knockoff of Mephisto, overall. He has that one time of killing his dad, but honestly overall, made in Taiwan knockoff of Mephisto.

Thanos.

Mephisto certainly seems to think so, considering he wanted a cosmic cube before even trying to take Thanos out.

And as far as Mephisto's overall portrayals, as opposed to this one brief stretch he was never as powerful as long before or long afterwards, making it fairly inexplicable, yeah, Thanos should be able to.

Mephisto is more generally a guy the Silver Surfer can overwhelm/Thor can stalemate/Adam Warlock has outright bested/Dormammu is shown to be far more powerful than/Hela can outlast.

And Blackheart despite all that only has conditional wins on the guy besides. So.. yeah, Thanos on Blackheart particularly.

So when Mephisto took on Galactus in his own realm and stalemated him, that was during his brief time as being uber-powerful?

I always assumed Mephisto was omnipotent in his own realm.

Yes, and no, in that order. Also, stalemate is anyway a generous term for "Galactus decided to start eating the place and Mephisto had nothing he could do about it."

Mephisto within his own realm has had poorer showings against the same opponent than Dormammu in his, at that.

As long as the Surfer basically superspeed brings his power to bear on the guy, Mephisto ends up too overwhelmed to call his own up effectively in response to muster successful resistance, for example, it's only when Norrin basically decides to instead whine and speechify and delay that it goes differently, or when he's otherwise impaired. This was actually the Surfer's own thought narrative from the time he overwhelmed the guy (it boiled down to "I can't do my habit of dicking around and whining here! Must actually be badass from fight start for once!")

I'd like to see Mephist as more of threat, power wise. IMO, he should be around Galactus level, but I'd be happy to see him at around Odin level also. He's basically Marvel's "Devil", so should be treated as a higher level threat. Guys like Surfer or Thor should have no business taking him on in combat and winning, especially in his own realm.

Do you know of any legit power feats from him? And Blackheart for that matter?

He's not though, is the thing. Pick an era, and there have been all sorts of people in the role of Marvel's Devil, from Satannish, to actual "Satan", with Mephisto being portrayed at one point as merely one incarnated aspect of that last guy among several, and only getting wins over people who had otherwise bested him by channeling that power.

It varies wildly.

I mean, currently in Ghost Rider, Satan is Satan again, or however you want to put it.

Can you rank the Hell-Lords and Underworld/Death Gods in terms of power?

1) Dormammu
2)Everyone else's ass

Everybody in category 2 go up and down with respect to each other. Hela and Pluto are the top Death Gods though, I'd say.

Is the Dark Dimesnion actually considered an Underworld, like Mephisto's realm, or Hela's Hel, or Pluto's Hades?

Do dead beings souls actually go there when they die?

He keeps souls there, yes, and people do sell their souls to him, it's enough for him to have a seat at the table of hell/netherworld dimensional lords in various of their gatherings to bitch at each other.

I thought that Death/Oblivion was Marvel's most powerful death god.

Yeah but I wouldn't consider Death a god of any sorts she's an abstract. Like Hera is a goddess of wisdom but you wouldn't compare her to Eon in any way.
