It is absolutely from the Cap Steranko issues.

When I saw the last page with the Skull/Cap I thought "that's cool.' Then I thought, "Oh God, are we going to have to go through two years of this before Steve actually comes back?"
I really need this to be resolved within Reborn.

Hm the end oddly reminded me of the ending of Ultima IX. A blond goody good uber hero and a red skullish evil being merged into one. Sounds familiar? ;)

I hope in the end Steve Rogers is free of him. It would suck if we have this "evil self" always handy as a sort of deus ex machine all the way in Cap stories now.

Yeah, it would sound a lot like Captain America #115, the first time the Skull switched minds with Cap.

I swear, everyone wants to say that stuff is ripped out of video games these days, no one wants to look past 1996 for any kind of reference.

I'm not sure how sharing a body with your worst enemy is a deus ex machina. Although I'm pretty sure that's not happening anyway, but not sure you're using the term right.

I would enjoy that immensely. It would be like the Lukin/Skull situation in the earlier issues. Steve trying to do his job with a devil constantly heckling him on his shoulder.
