    Default ultimate Spider-Man game

am i the only one who thinks this game is kinda--meh? too short, too much like Spider-Man 2, Spidey doesn't have enough moves...

ANYWAY, how do you get to the Statue of Liberty?

I don't think its possible to get to the SoL. I've had no luck.

I thought it was a fun game but as you said too short. Spider-Man's fighting was better then Spider-Man 2 in that he seemed like a fighting machine but alot of the fights became button bashing. If they got the controls of Spider-Man 2 with the agility (and more moves) of Ultimate Spider-Man they'd have a top notch fighting system.

Web slinging was a bit of a let down too, I miss using both shoulder pads to get more control and speed.

Fun stuff but I don't think it was worth £35. I completed it in a matter of hours.

I haven't seen a map... I'm sure they'll be one at some point (If you find it before me, post it will ya?).

You have to of completed the story mode to unlock the costumes. Then you hit pause, unlockables, costumes and then choose which one you want on.

And dude, what the hell were they thinking not including a "sprint" button. It friggin' takes forever to crawl up a building or run across the city!

Stylistically, the game is awesome, like Bagley drawings come to life.

And I wasn't sure if it was just me trying to beat the game as soon as possible so I could finish the story or if it really was short, but I see now I'm not the only one who thinks that.

Also, I wasn't too thrilled that you have to complete certain tasks to continue the story, but oh well...

    Still, one helluva game, though!

The shader deffinatly is awesome, and it was very short :(

I think they did a great job on the voices for Peter and Mary, although a lot of Peter's little one-liners got repeated way to quick and way too often. On other voices like Nick Fury, though... I don't know about him.

I could do with a lot less of those chase levels, too. Those were pretty annoying. And the camera during battle made me say "ROAR!"

Also, the story was pretty great too, but I still think in the beginning it went way too fast. They threw so much out there in just like five minutes.

    All-in-all, I'm pretty pleased :)

You hafta use the web zip to get up walls. Crawlin' is slow as hell. And that whole "Go win a medal to advance the story" was stupid as hell. What were they thinking??

Another lame carry over from the last game--chase the bad guy before he gets away!!!! Stupid as hell.

I'm sorry for picking the old topics, but didn't want to create another just to talk about game. Got a question, though. When exactly is game scenario in utimate spider-man continuity? I know now, that USM 86 will be with silver sable, but will there be the same scenario with venom/carnage/sable as in the game?

I did not rent or buy the game, but i've played enough of it and heard enough of it to know what i like and dont like about it.
i liked the fact that the story intergrates pretty well into the ultimate universe. I also liked the whole moving-comics-to-tell-the-story thing.
i DIDNT like the web-slinging (too clunky) or the wall crawling (too slow). The fighting is pretty cool though. If they had just taken spider-man 2 spider-man and given him ultimate spidey's fighting we would have had one awesome game. I did kinda liked the position of some of the buttons. did u guys notice that the buttons that control your webs (R and L buttons) involve u pulling toward ur palm with ur middle/index finger? i thought that that was really cool and was a great improvement over the bleh y button web buttons, cause u feel a bit more like spidey!
I thought peter's voice was a little nazely. it sounded a bit too young, but i loved all of his little one-liners
(peter sees rhino and says,"oh my god, i am so scared that i cant even finish my stupid joke."

So far all I know is that it takes place three months after the Venom story and after the Ultimate Six story.

I was actually thinking the fighting wasn't as good cause this Spidey isn't as experienced. But that's just me. I did hate the chases and the races though. I barely got medals....

    Thumbs up

I love the game. But the non-mission things (city events) are a bit too easy. I love the fighting and how much area there is too explore. I personally like the webswinging. Being Venom is wicked :D it feels like I'm so powerful. Overall I would count it as one of my favourite games.
