Runaways-The Movie?

I more than anyone would like to see a Runaways movie but who could play who?

Here are some of my ideas and please feel free to add some of your own.And please keep in mind that I chose the actors I did on physical appearance and not acting ability.

I like everyone's casting, but I think it'd work better as a TV show.

Casting Gert is a challenge.

I don't think theres a young actress who could pull of Gert's mannerisms and appearance.

If Lauren Ambrose from Six Fee Under were several years younger, I think she could do it. I don't think she'd be a convincing high-school age character anymore though.

I was thinking the girl from Arrested Development might be able to pull it off.

She's got a fuller figure and Gert-like mannerisms.

Maybe from Arrested Development would be a good casting for Gert. or the girl from Ghost World, but she may be a little old now....

Great castings so far, I'm trying to think of a good young actor to play Alex but have had no luck so far.

I'm not sure Runaways works best as a Movie. I think a Television Series is where this story would shine. The time required to get all the cast situated and relatable would work way better over a 5 to 6 week period, as opposed to a 2 hour movie.

Similar to Vaughn's other big hit "Y: The Last Man"
