Default How many books that started in the 90s are still going?

    With the original numbering.
All I can think of is X-Men (2nd series)

daredevil was relaunched in the late 90's, if i am remembering correctly, and is still an ongoing.
fantastic four and amazing spider-man were also both relaunched in the late 90's, and despite brief renumberings, have remained ongoings.
i want to say that the incredible hulk was rebooted before 2000 as well, and remains an ongoing.
    and i'm counting 1, counting 2, counting 3...

It was rebooted as Hulk for like 8 to 10 issues in 1999 under John Byrne and and then became Incredible Hulk again. So yeah..it fits.

She-Hulk when it returns can say its been around since the 90's since thier gonna use all the volumes and add it close to 100# .

I think that Thunderbolts could be placed in here, seeing as they still put the original number on the covers.

The only one I can also think of that wasn't a relaunch was the new X-men.

Others have gone, and come back in the form of minis, like X-Force.

Actually the only other one I can think of at all is not a marvel book, but is Spawn... much to the chagrin of many.

    not to mention Savage Dragon!

She-Hulk's new numbering incorporates the series from the 1970s .. so that doesn't count either.

I think the only two series that can count that haven't been interrupted or re-numbered are:

    X-Men
    Spider-Girl

Last year, Thor, Avengers, and Iron Man could have been on the list. I believe ASM and FF were relaunched in the 90's and they haven't been relaunched since.

My bad: I was actually under the impression that it had ended because it's been a while, but you're right.

I wouldn't think you could count most of those books as being new, as they are just relaunches, a traditional, weak marketing gimmick. I was glad when they ended the silliness for a while and started going back to the old numbering, even if it was only so they could make a big deal out of anniversary issues. But their doing it again. How many different Captain America #1s have their been in the last five years? And what was the point in changing Avengers back to it's original numbering, only to relaunch it with a new #1? It's dumb. If the comics are good, they'll sell themselves.

So I would say that only Spider- Girl really qualifies, as X- Men was merely a second title for a popular franchise. I'd be willing to bet that the record for comics from this decade in 2015 will be even worse....

Personally I hope by 2015 there will be a few books still going:

    Cable/Deadpool
    Thunderbolts
New Avengers (then again it'll probably be reverted to Avengers by then)
the preceding announcement was paid for by the new World order

Pretty neat question. Kind of sad too tho... Hard to put all that relaunch crap in the category of "new series" like someone else was saying...

    100 Bullets started in '99, I believe...
wanted to say Hellblazer, but I'm pretty sure that was late 80's.

Those're DC, My friend. If we're going that route, I think there's probably a few more. Robin... Nightwing... Birds of Prey... Any non- Batman ones?
