Default How Do You Think The Harry Potter Series Will End?

I just thought it might be a good idea to start a different thread than from the one discussing HBP.

Anyway, I'm still working out all the details in my head before I post, but I have a feeling that Severus Snape really isn't one of the bad guys, and that the "death" of Dumbledore is not what it appears to be. I'm also wondering if there isn't a blood-connection between one of Harry's parents and Tom Riddle.

I'd like to see Harry survive and end up being the permenant Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher. Teaching indefinitly after the conclution of the series. I've felt that's been a rather odvious end since the begining, and reinforced after the founding of the DA in OotP.

Also, Ron and Hermonie need to stop being idiots and shack up together.

I've really been wondering what role Percy will play in the end, since they've been setting him up for two books, I fear he may be a Death Eatter.

And it's rather odvious Snape killed Dumbledor on Dumbledor's orders. More then likely to spare Malfoy from doing the deed. I honestly think Malfoy is going to turn the tables on Voldermort at the end of it all, he's the wild card.

I fear Nevile might buy the farm, taking Harry's place in the final struggle or something. At the very least I'd like to see him stand up to Voldermort one on one, if only to get brushed aside like nothing. The guys built a bit of a Backbone over the years and he is important to the Potter Mythology.

The best ending I can think of is Harry living a normal Wizard life at the end.

My theory is (It isn't just mine- I've read other people with the same view) that Harry is himself one of the Horcruxes that he is going to be looking for in the next book. Voldemort performed the spell in desperation after he killed Harry's mother (as a death is needed).

My prediction: Harry will find this out at the end. He'll think he has to kill himself or something in order to destroy Voldemort. Voldemort dies, but it turns out Harry's not dead after all and he goes off to live a happy, fairly normal life, probably with Ginny. For all her talk, I just don't see Rowling killing Harry off.

I think Harry will defeat Voldermort, and go on to be the Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher. He'll probably end up with Ginny and Ron and Hermonie will get together.

Wouldn't you have actually graduated to be considered for a teaching position, or am I being way too literal here? :)

Kick the ass of the most powerful evil wizard known to mankind and I'm sure people are willing to make exceptions. :p

Seriously though, I think Harry's going to buy the farm while the supporting cast happily walks into the sunset.

Makes sense. I just reread book 1 and Dumbledore tells Harry one of the main reasons Snape hated James so much is that he once saved Snapes life. So I think him saving Harry will cancel that debt.
