Anyway, I have a question for clarification. In the checklist, you have Rann/Thanagar happening after all the other tie-ins, and before Crisis of Conscience. I don't know if you grouped them up for easier posting (if you did for those, you didn't for the others), but it appears that they're all happening at once.

However, I think this may result in a large continuity snafu. You see, Hawkman appears in both CoC and R/TW. However, if they're happening at roughly the same time (by the logic presented above, and the first issue of IC), then how is this possible?

    Again, just clarification.:)
Hawkman is going to reveal the continuity of Hawkman's appearances so far...Until then I just have them in whatever order looks good until it needs changing. :)

Maybe I skimmed over it, but I think you missed the most recent Birds of Prey issue, where the Calculator begins to investigate Oracle.

Also, I might re-do where JSA Classified is listed, because issue 4 leads directly into Infinite Crisis #2.

AND...(sorry) Gotham Central has to take place before JLA:World Without a Justice League because Gotham Central takes place concurrent with Infinite Crisis #1 (Capt Marvel crashing onto Montoya's car)

ANNNDD...I might also think about replacing where Return of Donna Troy is listed...only because in issue 4, it's mentioned when Donna sees Diana, that Diana has an unspoken sacrifice that changes her demeanor somewhat. That could really mean anything, but on first read I can't help but think of the killing of Max Lord....

    Just some ideas...

Query: Do you know if/when the 'Rann/Thanagar War' and 'Villains United' series will be released as trades? Just arming myself properly before diving into 'Infinite Crisis'...I have the first two issues, but I want to read the 'Countdown' stuff first. I have 'OMAC Project' and 'Days of Vengeance' trades, but have not read them yet, as I am getting myself poised and mentally prepared first. I'm particularly curious about 'Rann/Thanagar War', because I have taken a bit of an interest in the character Adam Strange...I heard Jim Starlin will be writing him next year, and he's only my favourite writer, BY FAR.

Villains United is the 14th December and Rann-Thanagar the 28th.

Made some of the changes. I left JSA Classified where I had it as it directly follows JSA 77, in which she is about to have the check up she goes through in the first issue.

And the World without Justice League takes place during Issue #1 as Supergirl is recruited by Donna Troy in issue #122 and leaves for outer space with her in Infinite Crisis #1.

I just want to say "kudos" to Paul, petersvensson, and everyone involved for the Infinite Crisis and COIE threads. Both of them are exemplary. Perfect additions to the FAQ forum and essential reading for new DC fans, as well as old DC fans, who, like myself, need to brush up.

    Great job. :)

thanks, very helpful. In the same vein, are there a few tpb's that would be good to read as a build up to the original crisis on inf earths?

Not a thing. Which is something we were discussing recently....I'd really like to see a Prelude type book, including crossovers, for COIE. Most of the build up was only a few panels in one or two issues of most DC titles....Check the COIE FAQ for a list of those.

    Hey there.

I quit comics a while back and then came back recently, so I have no idea what's going on. I've read The OMAC Project and Villains United (both of which I enjoyed), but that's about it.

I know you're not some sort of prophet, but do I absolutely HAVE to read the Infinite Crisis stuff to understand what's going to happen post-IC? Is it possible that I can just wait till all this stuff has ended so I read the new titles they'll be introducing? Because I know they're cancelling quite a few titles and adding a few new ones...

Or is it worth it that I read all of the Infinite Crisis series stuff?

Your mileage may vary. I think if you enjoyed OMAC and VU then you would enjoy IC and the other mini's.
I've been waiting for the trades and all I've read, so far, is Identity Crisis, OMAC and Day of Vengeance. All of which I enjoyed immensely. As a say further up the thread, I'm restricting myself to the trades I listed...Plus I'll probably get the Power Girl arc when its released in trade. But that's all I feel I need to read.

From the looks of things, you can start fresh with the OYL titles....I imagine they're the just the start of a new story arc.

Dear Paul, Thank you for your complete report. I appreciate the references to the series I do not follow (Manhunter, Firestorm or Breach).
I still remember the Legion issues that took place a little before the Teen Titans/Legion crossover where we could see what I rememberes as a ¿pre-crisis? world (almost Smallville!) where the 3 original member of the Legion of Super-Heroes visited a young Superboy... As you all know the visit of Superboy to the 30th century originated the Legion as we knew it...
Am I wrong? Any comments on LSH?

    Thanks Buraido. :)

It actually was Smallville that we saw in the story you were talking about is the Smallville established by Superman: Birthright, which is Post-Crisis. And that wasn't the real Legion, they were minions of Darkseid "kidnapping" the young Clark Kent. The whole scene was a homage to the Legion's first appearance in the Superboy story in Adventure Comics #247.
