It's what he gets for implying Ponyo is anything but animated perfection. Refering to it as merely "good".... Feh, I say!

Oh, and all of the anime fans(and voice actors) at Anime Milwaukee lynch-raping him after saying he disliked Howl's Moving Castle in the same review. Of course, anyone who speaks ill of Howl's Moving Castle deserves nothing less.

In all seriousness, I largely agree with his assessment. Ponyo is not a bad movie, because Miyazaki plain do not make bad movies, but I don't think it's one of his stronger works.

Also, that was the funniest NC review I have seen in years. Lately they have all been a bit too whiny and spastic. I literally forgot how funny Doug could be when he actually gets it right.
