Lightbulb Marvel's Three: Who's the best?

Which of these teams would you consider to be the most similar to the distinguished competition's "Trinity".

    - Blue Marvel
    - Storm
    - Black Panther

    or

    - Sentry
    - Ms. Marvel
    - Moon Knight

Bonus: Do you think these two rosters could be combined to form an interesting team?

I like the first roster because they lend themselves to the 'classy' aspect that the original "Trinity" is sometimes known for. But, I like the other roster because they all could be bound by tragedy and we could get a good look into thier mental dispositions while they fight crime. It'd make a good maxi-series I think.

    What do you guys think?

1st one would be the most similar to the DC varient. 2nd one would be more interesting, if only for the dubious morals and insanity of two of the characters.

First group needs to lose losers like Black Panther and especially Blue Marvel.

Besides, Captain America would be the closest to the "Superman" of Marvel. Not due to powers of course, just in the area of being the moral backbone of things.
A heck of a lot better than Blue Marvel or Sentry. There's a reason that the Amalgam Supes was Cap/Superman. Steve = "Truth, Justice, The American Way."

And in the case of the Batman analogue, you have Iron Man for that. Millionare Playboy with no actual powers (at least until that whole Extremis thing) with the funds to build wild toys to help him fight crime. Sure he doesn't have the whole guilt angle as much as Bruce, but it's a better fit than Moonie or Panther.

While Ms. Marvel probably fits the core mold of Wonder Woman better, character wise it's more fitting to be Storm.
Since she's a "Goddess" at least in her homeland, who journeyed from that homeland to make the world a better place for everyone.

    LOL

I'm not sure whats funnier, the idea of comparing either of those groups to DC's big three or the fact I think the OP is actually serious.

Spiderman, Captain America, and Wolverine. There is your Marvel Trinity. If you want to drop one to throw in a token female I guess you could but Marvel has no female character that is even remotely comparable to Wonder Woman in terms of being a major character.

    Thor/Storm/Iron Man, more likely.

DC's "Trinity" has nothing to do with powers or gender; it's about those characters' iconic status.

So for Marvel, I'd say Spider-Man, Hulk, Captain America. Or you could probably trade out Wolverine for Cap now. Wolverine is widely-enough known at this point and has shown he has staying power.

There's no three. There's One (Spiderman) and the other Five. Marvel is all about the Six (Spidey, Thor, Cap, Hulk, IM, Wolverine).

Surely Daredevil and Punisher are more popular than Thor.

I got the idea for this thread by reading other posts suggesting these lineups and I hadn't seen a thread unifying those ideas, so I decided to bring them together myself. I just thought it'd be good idea to see your opinions together - come what may.

This is what I would have gone with.

Cap represents the american ideal, the honesty, heroism, truth and justice elements that also form the core of Superman. He's the moral centre of the Marvel U.

Iron Man is the self-made hero, the non-powered man that uses his skill, intelligence and resources to elevate himself to superheroic standards, similar to Batman.

Like Wonder Woman, Thor is the mythical honourable warrior with strong ties to the gods of ancient times.

These three characters also form the core of Marvel's #1 team, a role similar adopted by the trinity at DC.
