INFINITE CRISIS: reading order/checklist

Hi,

I've been picking up all the related "infinite crisis" comic books. Sadly, I'm not able to read them right away. Has anyone created or know of the "correct" order that someone should be reading these books in. With so many different books out there and so much going on its hard to know. I'd be grateful for any help that I can get.

By cover date, then alphabetically...

Of course, not everything will be happening in the order it happens in the DCU, but I don't think it's been made completely clear what happens when, so my method is as good as any...

I was hoping that since so much effort has gone into infinite crisis that an "order" had been established and that someone knew what it was.

The thing about all this "Countdown" stuff is that almost all of it is happening at the same time. It's not one big story, as much as it's a mess of little ones leading into a bigger one down the line.

Read the issues in the order in which they were released, and you should be all right.

Also, check out the Crisis Counseling thread (stickied at the top of the board). It might be helpful.

Why DC don't do this themselves is beyond me. Perhaps doing it would make it too obvious that you need to buy a truckload of books to get the full story?

If anyone wishes to take on the task, I would love to see someone do a companion thread to the Crisis Counselling one I have stickied, that would give brief summaries of the stuff that appeared before Identity Crisis. At least those that appeared in the Prelude special and aren't listed in the existing thread.
