2. What sort of ironic curse do your powers bring to you? (There's a silver lining everywhere, folks. Are they uncontrollable, or maybe you have some kind of brand new deformity that doesn't let you go out in public?)

1) Powers: I can absorb the latent energy from none living objects turning them freezing cold and very brittle, the energy absorbed from the items is coverted so that I become stronger, Faster more agile and more durable.

2) Limitations: EDIT: Got it, my powers have a limited time limit that the energy affects me in. The energy is naturally lost via added loss of heat from my body. So I have to use and act with it else it's lost.

3) Codename: Blight

4) Advisor: Iceman as he is unaffected by the cold I produce when absorbing energy from objects, him or Psylocke becasue she's hot and British.


BTW, this is one of the many character's I've come up with in my time, just in this case it's done for me.

I can absord ambient energy, and use it for teleportation as well as telekinesis. Along with latent powers that can be powered by the absorbation

If I absorb too much too fast, I might transform into a horrible looking thing that goes feral and runs about the place like a dickhead

Cable and Nightcrawler

Cable because he has a whole load of power that he's learning too control. He also uses his other skills as a soldier and doesn't completely rely on his mutant skills

Nightcrawler he seems pretty decent, and he has too cope with people hating on his appearence
Plus he's pretty handy with a sword

I can psionically effect probability fields in my vicinity -- causing good luck or bad luck to a target -- by either concentration or by making brief physical contact with the target. Typical effects (spontaneous combustion of flammable materials, opponents trip or collide with each other, guns jam, machinery fails etc.)

I have cat eyes (slitted pupils); powers are attuned to my emotions so intense feelings can sometimes trigger spontaneous probability warps (good luck or bad luck depending on the emotion) -- still learning control. Can never control the precise manifestation, only whether it's beneficial or adverse.

Emma Frost - because she's intensely disciplined and very good at imparting that discipline to other psi's. Plus, despite her moral lapses I really admire her strength of personality, non-comformity, and wit.

Storm - because she herself has had to master her emotions, because of their effect on the weather, and would be a good teacher. Plus like Emma she extremely disciplined, resourceful, and focused.

The downside is that I can never be more than friends with anyone. My power prevents people form thinking of me as anything but a friend.

I'm taking a stab in the dark with this but tell me if it works.....

1. Able to generate "moonlight" to use it as a beam and to levitate.
2. EDIT: Depending on the phases of the moon is how powerful I am. If the moon is bearly visible then my powers will work, but not as effective. Put it this way, if it is a full moon then watch out. But if the moon is barely visible then it will work, but not as good.

4. Dani. I think she would be able to help me realize the power of my character.

LOL! Since Roulette is dead, someone has to take up the mantle. And probabilty manipulation has always been my favorite power. :D Besides, as I understood it, the purpose of the thread was not necessarily to create an original power, but to merely define the type of power one would like to have. I at least put my own spin on it. What's your superpower O Lucky One?
