    Default Nikita's 'puter art

My stuff's a little color distorted since I had to save it in JPG form instead of bitemap. (photobucket wouldn't enlarge the bitemaps for me so I had to figure it out in Paintbrush after some members on here were kind enough to explain to me a couple of months ago how to do it. I just haven't had time to post any art until now)

My computer art is more "cartoony". But I love Paintbrush. I love being able to add color with just the click of a mouse. Maybe I'll get a new computer one of these days with a scanner and be able to post my other non-computer art too.

Anyway, hope ya like. Enjoy my goofy Paintbrush art.

    :)

I had a coworker who got married recently so I decided to make this for her.

Anyway, that's just a little sample of my 'puter art. I've got tons more at home but when I first started doing artwork on my computer, I had to do it on my work computer so I had to save each picture to a floppy. Ugh, you guessed it. I've got tons of floppies from over the past couple of years. (my work computer could not save pics to a CD at the time)

One of these days I'll get all the pics loaded together onto one CD instead of a million floppies. (can ya tell I'm not that computer savvy? LOL)

And thanks to Brandon Harvey, Mattbib and Ronald Bryan for helping me figure this out in the first place when I posted this thread below all those months ago. (you guys rock) :)

Hee. Blue is my favorite color, so I have lots of blue horses. (I'll try and post more tomorrow)

But whoa! I didn't realize these pics were coming up so big! I posted them at work on my work Internet compuer and they were coming up smaller so that they didn't fill the whole screen. Course, my home computer has a smaller monitor then the one at work so maybe that's part of it. Anyway, sorry if these are coming up huge on your monitors guys. Apparently, I still need a little practice as far as posting pics. lol.

I like the blue horse and the woman/robot. The woman/robot is how I feel sometimes at work - lol.

Did you scan sketches and then write over the scans? Or did you do your original sketches using the computer software?

lol. I love that you guys are digging the blue horse. Who knew blue horses would be my speciality? lol. I have more blue horses.

My computer art is all done free hand by me using the mouse to draw in the Paintbrush program. Nothin' too fancy as far as programs. Just good old simple Paintbrush.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I've got another bigger group of stuff I'll try to post next week and then I'll cool it for a while. I rarely show my computer art to anyone because I don't really get a chance to. So this is technically my first "public showing" of some of my stuff.

Anyway, glad ya like. I have more blue horses and a small dragon series that I'll try and get up next week. There are some really talented artists on this site and after months of looking at other member's stuff, I figured it was time to post my own silly art thread. :o

Your linework on the heads, both horses and people reflects a pretty good understanding of the underlying bone structure.

Did you study the anatomy of the human/horse skull?
